CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO Part 2

Calypso POV

"Did you obtain the CCTV footage?" I asked my assistant and he remained silent. I guess hindi parin nila binibigay 'yung copy ng CCTV. It's been a week since the incident happened. "Okay, you may leave. I need some time alone." Napatayo ako sa aking swivel chair. I need to think. 

I don't know how will I ever process all of this. Parang kahapon lang and saya-saya pa namin ni Juno and now..

Aeos was the one who called me on the night of the incident. I was alarmed and shocked dahil naka detained na naman si Juno and this time it wasn't just a simple physical violence case but a murder. I browsed all of the facts, and indeed Juno has a motive but committing a murder? I don't think so. I know something is missing in this case. Maski ang mga kaibigan niya hindi naniniwalang pinatay ni Juno si Denver. But how can we tell the world otherwise? 

I look down at the clear window of my office and I can still see some reporters na naka abangan sakin. Ang bilis ng mga pangyayari dahil the next morning ay may media coverage na, doon mas lalo akong nahirapan kumilos. Because I felt like all of my actions are being monitored by the media and it fucking sucks! 

Sa sobrang occupied ng isipan ko hindi ko namalayang may kumakatok na pala. 

"Yes?" Sagot ko at hinarap ito. 

It was Juno's friends. They are complete actually. 

"If mag a-ask kayo sa update, well sad to say it still the same." I said with no emotion in my voice. "No, we weren't here for that Cali." It was Avionne. Naupo ako at tinignan sila isa-isa. 

We are all feeling the same. 

Confused, frustrated, and sad. 

"Then what do you guys want?" May diin kong tono. Wala akong time para makipag joke time sakanila. Ang dami kong iniintindi sa case ni Juno. "Juno's dad talked to us. He wants you na umatras bilang abogado ni Juno at sila raw ang hahanap ng abogado para sa anak niya." Okay that's it. Hindi kakayanin ng mental capacity ko ang mga nangyayari ngayon. I don't to hear anything about Juno's dad.

"C-cali calm down.. w-we talked to tito na. We said na si Juno lang ang makakapag decide 'non." Natatakot na sabi ni Aeos. "I won't ever back down to this case! Not until makalaya si Juno. We all know na she is innocent. But how can we prove that if no one is helping me into this case! Lahat ng mga leads ko ay hindi umaayon sakin. Someone is behind this murder case, lahat ng mapag-tanongan ko ay hindi nakiki-cooperate sakin laging wala! wala! Hindi ko alam kung anong gagawin ko kapag nawala sakin si Juno. So please tell that fucking sick man to stop all his bullshit and be fair like how he practiced the law!" 

Hindi na sila sumagot sakin at sabay-sabay silang umalis. It's just me now. 

I'm all alone. 

"I know Aeos and Avionna will testify on behalf of Juno. But I can tell you, their alibis are weak. The court may debunk it." If I will remove the alibis of Aeos and Avi, the case will not survive. It will automatically fall, so ano gusto nito? Hayaan 'kong matalo 'yung kaso? "What do you mean V? You know kapag tinanggal ko sila matatalo ako."
