Tuesday
I looked at my phone which was ringing and smiled. "Hi mom." I greeted her and sat down on the sofa. "Hi Annie. How are you?" she asked. "Fine. And you?" I asked. "I...well, nervous." she said and I furrowed my eyebrows. "Nervous? Why?" I asked. "Because of what I am gonna tell you now." she explained and I sighed. I kept being silent to let her continue. "An, we...we sold our house." she said and I gulped. "S-sold? Why?" I asked and she giggled. "Annie, there are about 4 bedrooms. We don't need that big house." she said and I smild sadly. I got lots of my memories there. "An, is...you still have some stuff here. And we need to move it into the new house." she said and I bit my lip. I don't want them to throw any things of mine away. I just... I don't want them to do anything with my things. "I just wanna know if you could come for a few days to help packing." she said. Come back? Home? Dortmund. "Well, I..mom...I..." I couldn't finish. "I mean, I can pack it. But I've thought that since school is on the next Monday, you could come." she said and I sighed. "For 3 days." I said quietly. "Really? I'm so looking forward seeing you." she said and I chuckled. "I'll see which flight I could catch." I said. Dortmund, Dortmund... Here I come.
Dortmund
It feels strange being here again. Being here after running away. But let's be clear, I'm planning on leave on Friday. It's currently 1 am in the morning. I caught the last flight. The manager told me that it's fine and he understands, but he won't let me leave the next time. "Ana!" I heard a male's voice and so I turned around. "Hi." I said with a giggle and hugged Robin. "Your mom called me and I offered to give you a lift." he said and I pulled away. "Thanks." I said and took the little suitcase. "Shall we?" I asked and he nodded. "It feels good seeing you again." he said after a while of walking in silence.
I've wanted to ask if Marco knows that I'm back since the moment I got in the car, but something stops me. It's like a lump in my throat that I can't manage to handle. "So, how is Barcelona?" Robin asked and I looked at him. "Fine." I said and he furrowed his eyebrows. "You don't sound excited." he said and I chuckled sadly. Yeah, my heart hurts when I see Dortmund. The city I've left. "Would you sound excited if you were me?" I asked and he sighed. "As I've already said, you can always come back." he said and I shook my head. I can't, can I?
Wednesday
I'm tired. So tired. From the packing. Flight. I can't even imagine what mom would do without me here. Dad's in Berlin and so we've been doing this packing by ourselves. We've got all packed and so I decided to take 2 hoodies back to Robin. They're his and I found them while packing some pieces of my clothes. It must have been left there when I was alone at home and we made a party. Oh, how drunk I was.
I knocked on the door and waited for Robin to open it. "Hey." I greeted cheerfuly to be met by his shocked look. "I've brought these for you." I said and walked past him ingonirng his weird expression. "I thought that you'd be happy to see me, but by the look...." I was speaking while walking further the flat and stopped when I saw Marco. "H-hi." he said and I didn't know where I should look to avoid this. But I can't avoid it. "Hello." I mumbled and placed those hoodies on the sofa. "I...should go." I said and my head started spinning. "No. Please." Marco said and reached for my hand, but I pulled away. "I don't feel good." I said and he shook his head lightly. "Please. I just...wanna talk Annie. Please." he said and I saw how desperate he was. Though my brain kept saying to leave and avoid any problems, I stayed. My heart won over my brain once again.
"So? What do you wanna tell me?" I asked and crossed my arms over my chest protectively. Robin's in the living room while we're in the kitchen. "I... I am sorry. For appearing just like that, but...I've not been able to resist." he said. Resist what? Seeing me? "I am happy that you're back for some time." he said. My heart skipped a beat and warm feeling occupied my body. Something isn't right. "I'm leaving this Friday." I mumbled and he rubbed the back of his neck. "Could you spend tomorrow with me? Please." he said and I shook my head. I feel sick. "I...need water." I said and started walking past him. I stopped suddenly. Everything started spinning and all I heard were voices. I heard voices, but I saw nothing. What is happening?
Marco's POV
Ana was walking past me when she stopped suddenly. "Ana?" I called to make sure everything is fine. She put her hand on her forehead and supported her tiny frame by the cupboard. She started falling and so I ran to her and when her head was about to hit the ground, I put my hand there. "Ana!" I screamed. She closed her eyes. Heartbeat! Okay. Her heart is beating. "Robin! Come here!" I yelled cupping her cheeks. "Annie! Annie, wake up! C'mon. Annie!" I yelled and Robin rushed into the kitchen. "What is going on?!" he yelled and knelt down. "She...swooned." I said and kissed her forehead. "Annie." I said and Robin stood up. "Ambulance." he breathed out and ran to his phone.
.....
She looks so vulnerable right now. Her hair is messy and she's pale. "Marco." Robin said from behind and placed his hand on my shoulder. "What about waiting for the test results with a cup of coffee?" he asked and I shook my head. Rubbing her hand with my thumb I looked at him. "I won't leave this room." I said and he sighed. "This is not helping her." he said and I kissed the back of her hand. She swooned. My Ana swooned. Because of being exhausted and all that stress. But she will be fine. My Ana needs to be fine.
