Wednesday

I woke up at the sound of my phone ringing. "Hello?" I answered. "Good morning. Did I wake you up?" Leo asked and I rubbed my eyes. "What's the time, Leo?" I asked. "9:15." he said and I groaned. I fell asleep at about 11 pm last night. And then, I was rolling on my bed while being in thoughts of what I did that evening. The phone call to Robin. And then, at about 5 am, I truly fell asleep. "Yeah. But it's fine." I said and sat down. "Congratulations, man of the match." I said and he giggled. "Thank you." he said and I looked out of the window. What will I do today? "Leo?" I asked. "What's up, Annie?" he asked and I bit my lip. "You...you were cute with the boy before the match." I said and he chuckled. "Wait for our own." he said and I smiled. "I'm sorry for the way I was behaving myself lately." I mumbled. "Annie, it's forgotten. We're happy, remember? I love you and our baby." he said and I smiled. "I love you too." I responded. "Leo, I...wanna ask you something." I said. "You know, you'll have the tour in the USA." I said and he gave me no response to let me continue. "I wanna be in Barcelona. Would you mind?" I asked. "Do you wanna run away from my family?" he joked and I rolled my eyes. "No, I feel good there. But my doctor is there." I said and rubbed my tummy. "Yeah, okay. Sure. But now, I have a question." he said. "When will you have some signs of baby bump?" he asked. For the very first time in a long while, I laughed without forcing it. "Maybe the 7th week. You know, my belly is already a bit bloated." I said and he giggled. "I love you, An." he said.

.....

My phone began ringing again and so I looked at the screen. Robin. After a while of silence, Marcel's name appeared at my phone screen. I answered the call, but didn't say anything. "Hi Ana. It's me, M-Marcel." he said. "What do you need?" I asked. "Talk?" he said and I sighed. "The same I told Robin, that means not meeting me, nor my baby, goes for you too." I mumbled playing with my fingers. This is for the best. If I don't meet any of them, I can be sure I won't have doubts about me with Leo. Being doubtless means my baby will be perfectly fine with a proper father. "I didn't hurt you! I just...I don't wanna lose the contact with you. And I also wanna see..your baby." he said and I smiled softly. "An?" Maria Sol called opening the door. "Oh, sorry." she said, but I shook my head. "Do you still wanna go to the fountain?" she asked and I nodded. "Give me a minute. I'll be right downstairs." I said and she nodded grinning like a child on Christmas. "I...I should go, Marcel. I'm gonna go out for a walk until I don't have a visible bump." I said. "Annie, how far are you?" he asked. "5 weeks." I mumbled shyly. "I wanna see you. Please." he begged. "I'll have to think it over." I mumbled and hung up.

Walking back into my hotel room, I switched on the light in my room. "Beautiful." Leo said and I gasped for air. "Lionel Messi! You idiot!" I exclaimed with hand above my heart. "You scared the hell out of me!" I added and he walked closer. "I'm sorry." he said and pecked my lips. "I'm sorry." he repeated and I took a deep breath. "What if our baby is gonna stutter because of this?" I exclaimed and he chuckled hugging me. "No, he won't." he said and I pulled away. "He won't? What if it's a little girl?" I asked and he smiled. "Then, she won't stutter." he said and pecked my lips. "Did you eat the dinner properly?" he asked and I walked to the bed to sit down. "Not really. I had a bit of salad and meat, but...I don't know. I don't find anything tasty." I mumbled and he pouted setting his head on my lap. "I love you, Annie." he said and I took the opportunity even though I know it's not right. "Leo, I...I wanna ask you something." I said and he smiled up at me. "I know I said that I don't want any of my friends to see...our baby." I rambled and he nodded still looking at me. "But I changed my mind." I said and he raised his eyebrows. "Did you?" he asked and I nodded biting my lip. "B-but Reus..." he started, but I cut him off. "No. I don't...want him to meet our baby." I said and ran my fingers through his hair. "But I want people, such as Marcel, Robin and Lena, to meet him. Or her." I said and he took my hand to kiss my palm. "They are your friends, they've been for a long time. I have no reason to disagree." he said softly and I leaned down to peck his lips. "Thank you." I said and he smiled asking for nother kiss. "I...I saw a few pictures of Reus. He was with women." he said out of nowhere and I choked. H-he and some women? "Why are you telling me?" I asked softly and he sat down. "To see your reaction." he said and I furrowed my eyebrows. "What did you expect?!" I exclaimed and he sighed. "I was just wondering if your eyes are gonna get teary." he said and I stood up quickly. "What?! What for?! Do you want me to cry or what?!" I exclaimed and he stood up too to pull me into his embrace. "No, I don't." he whispered and kissed my forehead. "I just...Annie, I wanna know that you won't run back to him." he said and I punched his chest angrily. "Why shall I come back?! I'm expecting a baby with you! Doesn't it seem enough to you?" I asked and took a step back. "No, Ana, listen." he said, but I shook my head. "No, you listen." I said and took a deep breath to continue. "I am freaking pregnant. I fly between Rosario and this Chile city just because of you! There is no way I'd ever leave!" I said and he pecked my lips gently calming me down. "Sorry." he whispered and I sighed. "Sorry, Annie." he repeated and I nodded. "Don't ever say that all loud, nor think about it." I warned and he nodded kissing my lips.

"You promised not to leave!" Lionel exclaimed and I looked around confused by the sight of all those bags around me. "Where am I going?" I asked and he scoffed. "Why are you playing dumb?! You promised never to leave, yet your clothes are packed and you're leaving!" he exclaimed and I gasped for air. What is this about? "An, we can go." I heard Marco saying and so I turned around. "W-what?" I asked and he smiled stepping closer to me. Wrapping his arms around my ,now big, bump from behind, he put his chin on my shoulder. "Ana, don't." Leo said and I sobbed. "She and the baby will be fine with me." Marco said and I bit my lip. "I love you, Ana! Don't leave me!" Leo exclaimed, but somehow, we started getting further. I stretched my arm out to catch Leo, but we only got further. "Don't worry, baby. We'll be fine together." Marco whispered into my ear.
