"Our youngest has arrived. When are you all coming back?" Aaditya (Aahara's father) asked the person on the other side.
"Soon. I wanna meet her so bad. We all do." A voice said. So soft that no one could understand how it belonged to the person it did.
"Hmmm." Aaditya said. One hand holding the phone while the other was occupied with a whiskey glass.
"Did something happen?" The voice asked clearly catching Aaditya's troubled tone.
"Hmmm." He replied simply not bothering with any explanation. The person on the other line sighed, knowing that they won't be able to find anything. At least not now.
"We will be there soon. Love you." Then the person hung up not waiting for Aaditya's reply since they knew that they won't get one.
It was Aahar's turn today. He asked me to wear something casual so I went with a simple over-sized sweatshirt and loose pants. Pairing them with blue sneakers. I was getting ready but yesterday's incident was still present in the back of my mind. Everything was going great but then everything got messed up. One thing I knew for sure was that I wasn't going to forget it and move on. No matter what, I didn't deserve that slap.
Nor I am going upto his room, to tell him that he did something wrong. At least not for now if he won't see his mistake with his own eyes then I can't help him. When I look back to Dada's situation, I can't help but admit one thing that is wasn't intentional. I knew that much but yesterday everything was totally done to hurt me. It was intentional. He did it just for his I-don't- know? Girlfriend! I gritted my teeth at that thought. And here people say bros before hoes.
I was done when Aahar knocked, asking if I was ready. So, we left. This time one of Aahar's bodyguard drove us to our destination. She was a young Lady, beautiful and professional. Her face showed her confidence. She never spoke once, unless directly spoken too.
"You all have bodyguards?" I asked my twin, curious. None of my other brothers made me familiar with their presence after all.
"Permanent onces? No. Almost all of them hate it. Even me but Dad said I can't get rid of them till I am eighteen. Also, mine's hot so I don't complain much." He said whispering the last sentence so only I could hear it.
I had no reply to that so I kept my mouth shut.
"Don't worry Baby Sis. You will get one too. Dad hasn't arranged one since you are with us all the time. At least for now-a-days." He said and I just raised my eyebrow at that, while he just laughed the issue off.
We were quite after that. Aahar scrolled through his phone while I kept myself busy with my thoughts.
"I wanted to ask you this but I didn't get the chance. Did you send me letters?" He asked clearly intrigued. I was surprised that he even remembered them.
"I did. To all of you. Nobody replied." I answered with a frown, suddenly sad remembering all the hopes that I sent with those letters even when they got crushed again and again. I looked down and started playing with his jacket's zipper. He held my chin with his forefinger and thumb and made me look at him.
"Baby Sis we didn't get any letters. I asked Dad and everybody else. No one got them." He said with sincerity but all I could do was look at him.
"No. I sent them. Since I leaned to write I only stopped four months ago." I said. I felt tears in my eyes and Aahar got alarmed seeing them.
"Hey hey don't cry Baby. I know but maybe they got lost. Let me ask Raina here. Raina did you get any of my baby's letter that were for me?" He asked his bodyguard. The Lady took a moment to reply.
