To say that the Singh household was devestated would be an understatement, they were all behaving like the child whose favourite candy got stolen from him and Aaditya couldn't do anything besides sighing while looking at the sad face of his eldest son, sitting infront of him. He was looking at his hands on his lap, while his eyes were downcast like he was almost regretting everything in his life.
Then to make the matters worse, it wasn't just his eldest, all his children and even his wife were behaving no better. They all simply couldn't get over the fact that Ekansh got the first kiss, their sorrow was very..... overdramatic.
Amara had nearly killed her younger brother after hearing the news while Aahar simply refused to believe it and thought that Ekansh was lying. Then Aadinew had the most discouraged look on his face, while his other twins were glaring at anything and everything the entire time since then.
Yet what surprised him the most was his wife, he thought she would be happy, as her youngest was bonding with the others and she was happy just not as much as she would have been, had she been on the receiving end of that kiss.
Kids, all of them were kids.
He thought but even then a warmth spread around his chest at the prospect of everything, he was happy that they were at least able to form a bond like this. Yes, it wasn't perfect but it was the beginning to something beautiful.
"Aanan." He finally called out to his son.
He snapped his head up at him and Aaditya raised a bow and looked at the paper work that was being burned by his son's gaze.
"Plan on reading that?" He asked his oldest who quickly lifted the file and examined the contents inside.
They were at their home office, getting nowhere near getting the work done because his son was busy burning in jealousy.
"Leave it. Go rest." He said and Aanan was never so quick to get up and leave after wishing him a small 'Good night Dad' which made him realise that he was only pretending to read the damn papers.
He got up and went to his beer cabinet, opening it and making himself a drink then he sat back down to complete the work his son had ditched. While his other children were sorrow-sticken, he had never seen Ekansh more happier, for a part he even got worried as Ekansh almost looked crazy for smiling like that. His happiness saw no ends and that only spiked his siblings more.
Aaditya had never felt like this before, it had been a lond time since all his children-all, were this happy and expressive. He could do anything for it to keep going
Giving Aahara up wasn't the best decision he made but during the time it was the only way out. He had surely kept his youngest away from him but that doesn't mean that she was away from him.
All along the years, he saw everything she saw and heard everything she heard.
He was brought of his thoughts by his phone's vibration on his table, reaching for it he looked at the screen and frowned at the number there.
Mahant Dheer.
Aaditya knew about Aadya relationship with him and the other two but that didn't affect him in the least, he was way more liberal than he looked, at least for his children that was.
He loved them beyond anything and same was true for his wife but that didn't make him as happy as he thought he would be and that was because he knew how his love for them will turn out.
Afterall he had already seen that happening once.
"Yes."
For the first few seconds no words were exchanged, both men contemplating eachother's next words.
