Dadi's revelation shocked me beyond belief, Daddu did that just for me?! It was so sweet of him, I didn't wait a second after that and pulled Daddu in, for a hug. He laughed but then copied my actions, wrapping his arms around me and embracing me. I mumbled a small 'thank you' in his chest. Daddu did that just for me.
I couldn't help but feel touched, Dadi said that he shaved it only for me. Something he never did before, that showed his affection. Remember Baby, what is special to you can be a waste for someone else, and the same goes the other way around too. Something that you might find strange can be of great value to others. That's why respect everybody's boundaries.
My grandparents taught me the value of little things in life, they taught me how to be grounded and the fact that Daddu just changed something special to him so easily just for me, was something beyond words. I held onto him for a while, then we pulled away.
"Now now Baby, he isn't all the great." I heard Naana say, I turned around to look at him, only to witness the most resentful expression I had ever seen him make. There's definitely something I don't know about these two.
I shook my head and turned to the last stranger in the room, although, I knew that he was family too, considering he had Daddu's features. He caught me staring and smiled at me, a smile filled with menace. Actually slash that the man himself screamed danger, with ink covering ever visible part of this body, along with the lip piercing complimenting his intimidating look.
I stood up and walked upto him, touching his feet, to which he replied with a 'Ayushman Bhava'. I smiled at that, he didn't look like the person to say something like that. Well never judge a book by it's cover.
"He is your eldest Uncle Aahara. My brother, Gaurav." Dad said and I just nodded, yet my eyes didn't leave Badha Chachu.
"It's so good to finally meet my niece." He said and patted my head, making me grin.
"Now, everybody since the introductions are over, we can't forget that peanut still has a fever so let her have some rest." Chief said and Naana agreed, he took my hand and lead me to my room. There he waited for me while I freshened up and changed in the restroom, then tucked me in.
"Naana you are gonna stay, right?" I asked since I missed him and I had a lot to discuss with him.
"Baby, I have a good news about that. I can't stay in this house but I brought the mansion next to this. So, we are basically neighbours now." I would have been shocked had it not been my Naana talking, he had a talent of giving people big announcements like these with the striaghtest face possible.
"Why not here though?" What's wrong with staying in this house?
"Later baby, for now close your eyes and sleep." He said, kissed my forehead and then stayed with me untill I fell asleep.

"Bhai, you need to understand. Aahara isn't communicating. She needs to express herself, I feel like she hasn't been dealing with her grandma's loss too well." Kartika exclaimed, he was getting frustrated thinking that no one in his family was understanding the importance of the issue. How wrong he was!!
Bhai means elder brother in Hindi.
"Dad you know something, don't you? Please my youngest needs all of us and we can only help her if you help us." Sia pleaded. Her father, who was standing there, even when a lot of space was there for him to sit, speaking more than his words. As all the other Singhs respected their elders none of them bothered to sit.
