A thick fog was surrounding everything, I couldn't see anything through it. The smoke making my eyes sting, I looked around me, moving my hands to try and locate something, anything but I couldn't. Then suddenly I heard a voice "Baby it's going to be okay" then a loud crash, the smoke cleared and I saw a terrible scene unfold infront of me.
Bhaiya's car was burning, his body laying limp not too far from it, his face covered in blood. I screamed running upto him, sitting down and taking his head it my lap, trying to wake him up, calling his name and slapping his cheeks but he didn't open his eyes.
He didn't open his eyes.
He didn't.
Suddenly, my eyes shot open and I sat up, breathing heavily, trying to comprehend my surroundings. Looking around I realised that I was in my room, my back hurt but that didn't stop me from getting down and running out of my room bear feet. I didn't stop until I was right infront of Bhiaya's room, my feet had carried me here but now standing right infront of the door, I didn't want to open it.
What if I was too late?
What if...
Then I didn't even realise when my hand reached the doorknob, opening the door and pushing it open. There he was, sleeping on his bed, I knew he was sleeping as chest moved along with his breathing. I slid down the door frame, my eyes tearing up from happiness.
Its okay. He's okay.
I buried my face in my hands, crying silently, Naani your Baby did it. It wasn't until I felt myself being lifted up that my tears stopped, Bhaiya had picked me up, and he carried me to his bed. He sat down and pulled me in his lap, stroking my hair as he wiped my tears.
"Why is my Angel crying?" He asked and I just shook my head and hugged him, hiding my face in his chest.
"Were you worried about me?" He asked and I nodded. I heard him chuckle, then he pulled my face away from his chest, locking my nose in between his knuckles.
"I am okay. All thanks to you." He said then ruffled my hair.
"So, you are not gonna be a meanie anymore?" I asked looking up at him. Why are all of them this tall?!!!!!! Its unfair!
"I am sorry, I will do anything to make it up to you." He said after a sigh and I agreed to the deal.
Before he could say anything else, someone interrupted us, knocking at the door. I turned around, Dada stood there, leaning on the door frame.
"Good morning Kids." He said and walked in taking me from Bhaiya's lap. His strength amazed me a lot, the man picked me up like a baby. I need to make my muscles too!
"Come down for breakfast." He told Aadinew Bhaiya.
"I can bring her downstairs." He said with a slight glare. Dada laughed at that, leaving the room with me.
"First you get yourself downstairs, then we will talk." He shouted behind us.
Then when we went into the dining room, I saw my whole family there. Dad was at the head of the table, with Mumma at his right then both the rows had all the others.
Dada sat down with me in his lap, taking two plates, serving me and him. Then when Bhiaya came down, we all started eating.
"Aahara how are you feeling?" Dad asked suddenly, it was so unexpected that I got a jump scare, water spilling from the glass I was holding.
"Hey! Hey!" Dada quickly grabbed some tissues and wiped my face.
Finally when he was done I told Dad that I was fine.
