I went out into the garden, the guards saw me but they move when I opened the front gate and walked out. After all the things that were said over the dining table, I felt like I needed to clear my head.
I passed by Naana's gate but didn't stop, taking a new path that I hadn't been to before as I wasn't too worried about where I was going since I was good with remembering my way. It was already late, so there weren't many people around and I liked the peace I had.
I looked at the sky and remembered Naana's words, "No matter how far wrong you have gone, you can always turn around." Was that really the right way to look at it? How long must the victim suffer for the perpetrator to realise that they are wrong? And then what? All the sufferings, pain and tears will be forgotten? Maybe for the perpetrator but can the victim forget?
Why must I always forget? Yes, they must have had their own problems but how do they expect me to understand when nobody so much as tells me about situation?
What was I suppose to make out of this situation? I was tired of the second chances, I was tired of trying. Honestly, Naani's advice felt wrong and I was reconsidering everything.
"Young Miss."
Off course, he was following and I didn't notice.
"Yes Revan?"
"Ma'am you have come a long way, shouldn't we head back?"
"Huh?" I looked around and indeed I was in a completely new area, but I didn't felt like going back just yet, so I went and sat on the empty sidewalk.
Revan didn't say anything neither did his expression give away his thoughts, he just stood beside me, a few steps away. We didn't talk and I felt the silence was far more welcoming then anything else.
Suddenly the silence was disturbed by a mechanical rumble, I turned towards it and saw a bike I all too well recognised. Ekansh Bhaiya stopped right infront of me but I was too upset to say anything so I just turned my head.
"Don't sulk the others feel bad as it is." He said and I looked at him with a glare, his words only railed me more.
"What about me?" I snapped but he just looked at me.
"What about you?"
"You came here to defend their feelings, don't I have my own?" I looked away again.
"You do and that why I am *here."
"Yeah? You sure your mommy didn't send you here to babysit?" I mocked and he just glared for a response.
"Get on." Bhaiya said after a few moments passed.
"I don't want to go back."
"I am not taking you home. I have something to show you." He said and I raised a bow.
"Nope."
"Get on while I am asking nicely." Why was he so intimidating?
"What about Revan?" I asked as I eyed my claim who didn't seen the least bit bothered.
"I am sure he doesn't need you to hold his hand and walk him home. Now, get on."
I sighed and went to sit behind Bhaiya as I waved Revan a goodbye. I wasn't necessarily angry with Ekansh Bhaiya after all I hadn't failed to notice that he was the only one quite during the either exchange at dinner but I wasn't to sure if it was because he supported me or simply because he considered those matters to pity for his attention and in the end did agree with the others.
Then there was my cunning Father who I knew most definitely didn't fail to notice his silence at dinner either. So, for him Ekansh Bhaiya was the best candidate to smooth me out of my so called tantrum. I shook my head and climed on then as soon as I was ready to go we left.
We drove for a something before Bhaiya stopped his bike and as the wind was chilly and I was exhausted so I was almost half asleep during the entire ride that's why I didn't notice where we were until the very end.
"Why here?" I asked my brother who just told me to get down, we were at a gym and I wasn't impressed at all.
"Don't make that face, come on." He said and dragged me inside with him.
"Why?" I whined, if he wanted me to work out with him then he was in for a nightmare.
"You just have to keep me company." He sighed and we went in.
The gym was empty for obvious reasons, why it was open at a time like that, I seriously had no idea but I didn't mind keeping Bhaiya company for at least as long as my patience allowed.
He went with his routine in which I didn't know a single exercise expect push-ups while I just sat down and watched. We were silent for the most part but then I suddenly felt the ugre to say something.
"Why choose such an odd hour to work out?" I asked and Bhaiya looked at me while still doing his exercise.
"Well, I like the quite and it's usually the only time I have time for things like these."
"Why not use the gym at home?"
"You were out alone. So, I thought you could keep me company here. Besides the mood at home wasn't the best."
So, basically I can't be out alone.
"Well I had Revan with me." I guessed that from the tone of my voice Bhaiya realised that I was annoyed but he didn't say anything.
This was the most he talked in one setting anyway so I didn't push him any further. I was getting pretty bored while just watching him so I started walking around, exploring the place. Bhaiya quirked a bow but didn't stop me so I went on, the gym was big and whoever owned the place clearly liked it clean as there wasn't a speck of dust anywhere.
I was walking ahead while looking at a wall mirror clearly oblivious of my path when I bumped into someone, hastily stepping back which only helped me with loosing my footing and falling flat on my ass. I looked up and was met with Gaurav Uncle's (Her father's brother) face.
He was standing with his hand stretched out for me to take, I held it and he pulled me up. We had only met once before so it was a little awkward especially when Uncle didn't seem like he was in any hurry to start a conversation.
He didn't let go of my hand and took us to the front room where Bhaiya had been working out. When he saw who was with me he got up and greeted Uncle.
"Why did you bring Aahara when it's already so late?" Uncle didn't sound mad but then again I wasn't well acquainted with him.
"She's mad at everyone, so we came here to calm her down a little." Bhaiya didn't miss a beat while throwing me under the rail and Uncle turned to me. I tried to say something but only ended up glaring at Bhaiya.
"Is he telling the truth?" Uncle asked me and I just sighed and nodded.
"You don't wanna go home?" He asked and I nodded again.
"Alright then, come with me both of you."
Uncle tugged me outside with him while Ekansh Bhaiya followed after collecting his things. He got us both inside then while settling himself on the driver's seat he made a phone call, with his phone on speaker. The other person picked up fast and with one word I already knew who it was.
"Gaurav." Dad said through the phone, it was late at night yet he didn't sound sleepy at all.
"I am taking Aahara and Ekansh home. They will be staying with us tonight." The sudden sleepover plan took me by surprise and Dad as well.
"No."
"I wasn't asking, I was telling you." Uncle said and before Dad could get another word out he hung up.
Well it's a sleepover, I guess.
