- Venus POV-

Currently I am sitting between Temp and Booth as we were having a session with Sweets.  Its quite as Booth plays with a gold slinky, Temp is sitting still, Sweets is looking at us, as I started to doze off a bit. We stay like that for a few more minutes as Booth finally puts down the slinky onto the table and sits back just to get a phone call as he smiles saying, "Oh-ho! Look at that. Thank God. Somebody got murdered." Temp quickly follows him up, "Okay, let's go." Sweets then speaks, "You're supposed to turn your phones completely off during our sessions. Not just vibrate." I give him a smile while being pushed out of the door, "Sorry Sweets, but you understand that we can't just ignore things like this. See you later." Booth closes the door as we head over to the crime scene.

We make it over to the crime scene as it was located on a beach as Booth takes out his badge to let us through, "Hi, guys. You can release 24." As we go under the yellow tape we are introduced to a man walking over to us as he says, "Oh, hey, Dr. Brennan." "Mr. Nigel-Murray, what are you doing here?" Cam then speaks from besides him, "We decided to utilize some of your brighter grad students... until we find a full-time forensic anthropologist, remember?" Temp then asks him, "Do you consider yourself one of my brighter grad students, Mr. Nigel-Murray?" "Yes. And so do you, Dr. Brennan." I then say, "I really like his confidence. I am Venus by the way." I shake his hand, "Nice to meet you. Venus as the Roman Goddess of love and beauty. It's seems to such a fitting name for you." I blush a bit, "Thank you." Booth then cuts in, "I am not calling this kid Mr. Nigel... anything." Vincent. Or Vince or Vinnie, Vin-... Vincenzo. I actually, uh- I had this girlfriend once... who used to call me 'Vino Delectable'... because of how my-". He stammers as we just watch him as he then decides to say, "You don't need to know that."

He looks at Temp, "Uh. What do you need me to do first?" "I need you to go back to the lab." I elbow Temp a bit as Cam says, "I thought perhaps you might want Vincent to shadow you, get a real sense of what you do." I then say, "I think that's a great idea." Vincent then says, "Little-known forensic fact: Tongue prints are as distinctive as fingerprints. Uh- I can be useful in the field." I nod at the new fact that I have learned as Temp tells him, "I need a forensic anthropologist in the lab... so I can spend my time aiming Agent Booth in the right direction." I chuckle a bit as Booth says, "Aiming Agent Booth.' What like a hose?" I shake my head, "Definitely not... but if anything, I'm pretty sure that I am the one leading you both in the right direction most of the time." They shake their head as Temp takes her hand out in front of me, "Lend me your keys." I nod handing her my keys as she then hands it to Vincint, "Well, here. Take her car. We'll get a ride with Booth." I then say, "You could've given me a reason before you take action Temp." I sigh as Vincint nods and leaves as I think about how shocked or excited, he might be to ride my 1968 Shelby Mustang.

We then walk towards the remains as I stand next to Booth as Temp asks, "How were the remains found?" Booth then says, "Well, let me aim you in this direction, okay, Bones?" I chuckle as Cam adds, "Two- let's call them- hippies found these remains this morning." Booth and I look over at the two hippies as Booth chuckles as we give them a peace sign as he says, "Deadheads." We watch as they smile and greet us back as Cam adds, "Oh, I sold veggie burritos and followed Phish one whole summer. It was fantastic." Temp then speaks, "I'm not able to ascertain sex without a pelvic bone." "Well, if this scrap of cloth is a bathing suit, then probably female." "Are you good at estimating time of death for submerged corpses?" "Heavily degraded by crab and fish. Two to three weeks? That could be a breast implant." Booth cuts in, "Breasts. That's my department, okay? Give me a serial number. My guys will be able to track that down." I nod as Cam asks, "Why is there only half a skeleton?" I then answer, "Because the spine has been severed." Booth then says, "So, severed spine equals foul play."

Temp answers, "No, not necessarily." "Then it was an accident." I look at the victim's finger as I shake my head, "No, it was foul play Ranger." "But I just said that." I nod, "Yes, you did. This hand has sustained trauma." "Shark attack." "No, the fingers got smashed from what looks like multiple blows. In which suggest foul play and... not by a shark. Let's have this body taken back to the lab and let Hodgins take a close look for particulates." "Great. So what do we do next?" Temp then says, "Find the other half?" Booth, Cam and I sigh as we look around the ocean seeing that we have very slim chances of finding the other half as I then say, "I feel bad for Marcus who's going to be here for a very long time. Booth nods agreeingly.
