Episode 80 ''The Beginning in the End'' Part 1

Venus POV

 The days are ticking down, and my time is almost up. I've haven't been sleeping as much as I would like and when I do sleep, I just have nightmares of all the years I have endured and how many people I lost.  It sometimes gets overwhelming that I start having frequent panic attacks. Wendell has been noticing all too well of my change even when I try hiding it from him. He's always there and cares for me, even when I don't realize that I need him at that moment. Yet he's there, and I can't thank nor love him enough for what he's doing for me. I don't want to bare the day of leaving him for something I don't have control over. Nor do I ever want to imagine or see him waiting for me to come back for so long if I don't make it. If that day ever comes, I don't want him to ever wonder what happened to me but forget and move on and find happiness with someone else that will stay with him and never have to worry about them leaving him.

I sit on my bed sighing as I glance over my nightstand that contains 12 letters that I've written. Each letter for a certain person I care for, I don't plan on giving them right away, but that's only if something were to happen to me. They will be taken care by Jones as I'm sure he'll know when it will be the right time to give each the letter. Jones and I have made and gone through every scenario to make sure how I am going to resolve the leaking of my past and the only thing that we can come up with to make sure I don't have to go back is to get straight to the main source of why and who wants this information for and get ride of it and everything connected to it.

I sigh again as I then see Jupiter jump onto my bed noticing my distress as he lays his head on my lap as I give him a small smile and began petting him, "You're such a good boy. You also sense my change and worried, aren't ya boy?" He whins a bit confirming my question as I lay my forehead on his head, "Thank you. I'm sorry that I can't take you with me boy, but at the same time, it's best for you to stay here with Temp. You'll be much safer with her and you can protect her in my place and be there for her when she feels lonely. I slowly fall back asleep feeling a bit more at ease since he's with me.

I then wake up hearing my alarm go off as I get up turning it off seeing Jupiter gone as it seems he left the room. I get up and get ready for the day as I then grab everything I needed as I'd be meeting Jones later and extra clothing as I also have a meeting the heads of each department and will be announcing my break from my seat and reintroducing Dr. Goodman as he'd be taking over for me until I come back. He and I already discussed about why I am leaving and what happens if I don't come back. But that will be held out for later as I go into the main living room as I see Temp finishing cooking food as she sees me smiling a bit, "Morning." I smile, "Morning Temp." We ate breakfast together and discussed some things as she then brings up the project going on in Maluku. I could tell her excitement at this project as it can be a breaking discovery about our evolution. I then get a call from Booth as it seems we have a new case as Temp, and I hurry up as he was going to come and pick us up.

We finally arrive at scene as it was in an apartment in a boys room as it seems that the body fell through the from the room above. I'm a bit distracted more than lately as I realized in the car that this will be my last case, and not only that I still need to have a talk with Wendell about me leaving. Booth then says to us as we look at the remains, "Who keeps this much junk? "Oh, whoa, wow!" He picks up a hockey puck, "Washington Captial puck from the '80s. That's classic." Temp then says, "Victim is male, in his 40s." I nod agreeing as Booth then says, "That's it? That's all you two got? I mean, usually you two just have a combined list of specifics I don't even understand." I then say, "Sorry Ranger." Temp adds, "I'm very distracted." He nods, "Yeah. I bet you two are, with all the junk here." "No, not that. You probably heard about the full set of interspecies hominid remains that were found in Maluku Island." "Oh, I missed that one. Where's 'Mypoopoo?" I smile a bit as I explain, "Maluku is in Indonesia. But there's been saying that it could be a crucial link in the evolutionary chain. They're wanting the Jeffersonian apart of this, which is very exciting for everyone in the anthropology department."
