-Venus POV-

We are at a crime scene as Booth argues, "Fishing is not a sport." Temp looks at him disbelief, "What? Monuments to sporting events in ancient Egypt... include fishing as well as swimming and wrestling." "Come on. No sweat, no sport." I then say teasingly, "Oh, bad example Ranger. Boris Spassky, chess. He used to perspire profusely." He looks at me not amused, "Why you gotta make things complicated?" I shrug, "Because it keeps your life more interesting." He stops thinking about it and nods admitting, "Fine. It does, but let me break it down for you two. Basketball, football, hockey- that's a sport. Board games, fishing- not a sport." We then see Cam as she begins to explain the scene, "No problem going easy on the fired food after this one." I nod as Booth groans. Temp then says, "Well, the International Olympic Committee is considering adding chess as a sport." Booth then says as if he made his point, "Not a sport. See? Not a sport." Cam then says, "Neither is ribbon twirling, bridge or synchronized swimming." Booth says, "Synchronized swimming. That's not a sport. That's for sure."

I stand next to Cam nudging her to read the atmosphere as she realizes it as she says, "Oh, God. I'm in the middle of something, aren't I?" I nod, "Don't worry your not the only one in the middle of it." I then see the victim as I say, "Oh, look. Dead guy." Booth nods, "Yeah. Look at that. The colonel's not gonna like this one. Ooh!" Cam then begins the examination, "Male. No sign of clothing. All other stats still unknown. He was found at the bottom of this grease receptacle... by those lovely gentlemen over there." We look over at the two guys as I nod. Temp then says, "Well, the remains are covered in flesh. Why am I here?" Cam shrugs, "I don't know. I told Booth." Booth grunts as I cringe a bit looking at Cam as she then says, "Oh, God. In the middle again." Booth then begins to explain, "Look, I heard 'murder victim in cooking oil,' and I thought, Bones would just love this one. So how long has tempura guy been in there?" "The tank hasn't been emptied in a couple of weeks." "Two weeks. Okay." Temp then says, "I could be biking now, an activity during which I perspire." I shrug, "I would be in my office working, so I don't mind this field trip to be honest."

Cam then says, "Daily addition of hot oil hastened decomposition and led to early hydration of body fat." Booth nods, "God. So he drowned or maybe fried." I nod as Temp says still on the sports conversation, "Billiards is considered a sport by the International Olympic Committee." I cough out a laugh as Booth says, "Bones, we're working here." "Not me." She begins to leave as I wave her a bye, "See you later Temp." She nods as Booth says, "Wait- Whoa! Bye." I then tell our people, "Can we get the body out of here, please?" They nod as we back up as they begin taking the body out carefully. Cam says to them, "Okay, careful. Easy." The guys then say, "Is the skin slipping?" Another says panicked, "The Skin is slipping!" We watch as the skin peel off as all the organs fall to the ground. We all looked shocked as Cam says, "Oh, my." Booth then says to Temp, "Uh, Bones. Look at that. Bones. Huh?" She looks over seeing the now skeleton, "Oh, this is good for me." "Yeah. Right?" I then say, "I should feel a bit disturbed... but somehow that was oddly a clean peel... is that weird?" I look at Cam as she says, "I think we passed being weird a long time ago." I nod agreeing.

We are at the lab as Temp begins the examination up on the platform, "Compound depressed fracture to the temporal bone." I nod as Fisher says, "More hairline fractures on the femur, humerus and scapula." I add, "And here, on the right ilium." He nods, "There are puncture marks on the ilium, iliolumbar and sacroiliac. So he was beaten and stabbed. Somebody really went after this guy." Cam then comes over to us, "Those injuries didn't kill him. There's greae in all levels of the bronchi, which means... our victim was alive when he was tossed into the vat. Cause of death is drowning and cooking or vice versa." She takes out the body part letting the grease drip out as Fisher says, "Saturated fats- they're a killer." Cam adds, "Also, carboxyhemoglobin test... shows our victim had 17% carbon monoxide level. Triple the norm, and double what even heavy smoker would have." Fisher then says, "He could have worked with cars along a freeway, maybe a tollbooth."
