PJ was pacing back and forth while waiting to hear any news about Amira and the explosion. The last time they spoke he gave them the address of the previous security advisor and he hoped to God that she had gone there immediately. There was still so much he wanted to tell her about himself and about Tom as well. Amira had filled an empty space in his heart that had been missing since his sister disappeared.
Shaking his head, he decided not to think about that. Instead, he chose to believe that they made it out unscathed.
Just then, there was a knock on his door and he yelled for them to come in. Expecting it to be one of his employees, he was pleasantly shocked to see Amira and Kai. Immediately he pulled Amira in for a hug; not caring how it looked to others.
"I wasn't there. I'm fine," she reassured him.
"Please don't ever put yourself in such a situation again. You're too important to so many people, Amira." He said with his hands firmly on her shoulders.
Her brows furrowed as she listened to what he had said. Why was he being like this? It was weird.
"Right... anyway, we need your help again."
"How so?"
"We need everything you have on Rafael Hargreaves,"
PJ remained still. "Who?"
"Don't play dumb," Kai interjected and stepped closer to Amira.
"Why would I know who that is?" He removed his hands. "Do you really think I'm all about drugs and guns? I run an established business here,"
"So you do know," Kai confirmed.
"No. I don't," he walked away from them towards his chair.
"PJ, come on," Amira pleaded. "We're not saying you're the bad guy here. We just need to know about his daughter, Stella,"
"I said I don't know!" he snapped at them.
Kai took Amira's hand and turned towards the door. "We'll come back when you stop being difficult,"
—and they left.
Amira wondered why PJ was so defensive when he clearly knew who she was talking about. What was that expression on his face?
And why did it seem sad?
"What do we do now?" She asked Kai.
"Now we do what we came here to do. Ask questions," he smiled at her and they continued walking down the pavement, hand in hand.

Brynne stretched towards the ceiling and let out a soft moan. She had just finished her last exam and it was a weight lifted off her shoulders. She was mostly confident in her results so that wasn't on her mind. She was worried about Micah since she hadn't heard anything since they had that argument.
Jack wouldn't tell her anything either, so she was completely in the dark and she hated it. She expected that he'd at least keep her in the loop or something... but what she didn't expect as she was pulling into her driveway was to see her best friend waiting for her.
"Carla!" She rushed out of her car to hug her. "What are you doing here?"
Laughing, Carla hugged her back and they jumped around. "I told you I'd visit soon."
Brynne pulled back to look at her face; taking mental pictures of how much her friend changed in just a few months. Carla's hair was now black instead of her natural light brown colour and she had both her nose and her left eyebrow pierced.
