Joshua was not like anything Amira had imagined. First of all, for someone who was supposed to have connections all over Europe, they knew absolutely nothing when it came to getting information. Amira and the hacker sat on Joshua's lumpy couch waiting for him to finish whatever the hell he was doing. The hacker had assured her that he knew what Joshua was doing but Amira swore she saw him playing Solitaire at one point in time.

"We've been here for two hours. I feel like we're just wasting time," she whispered to him.

"Just relax. Trust me, okay? We'll get what we came for," he smiled and softly squeezed her hand in hopes to comfort her.

Amira highly doubted that was the case. Joshua didn't look a day over twenty years old and his apartment was littered with takeout boxes. She wasn't one to judge but she had the right to at least doubt. She doubted his capability to find Kai's location— if they were even looking for him.

"Aren't you supposed to be some super hacker? Can't you hack into a satellite or something?" She asked him.

"I could..." he trailed on as if actually thinking about it, "but when I think about the level of security I'd have to go through, it seriously bums me out."

"It seriously bums you out? So much for super hacker," she rolled her eyes.

"Let me take you somewhere later on to clear our heads. Sound good?"

She was about to decline but when she saw the hopeful expression on his face... she couldn't dare burst his bubble.

"Sure,"

"I've got something," Joshua's voice piped up from across the room. "That license plate number was linked back to one of PJ's men,"

"PJ? The PJ Baxter?" The hacker demanded to know.

"Who's PJ?"

"PJ," Joshua started to explain, "is a well-known man here in London... specifically for his extra curricular activities," he stared at her hoping she would catch his drift.

Amira rolled her eyes and turned to the hacker, "you told me you weren't involved with drug dealers,"

"I'm not!" he defended himself. "But the question is, why the hell was your boyfriend involved with them?"

Amira thought about that one. Could he be the man behind all of it? He surely had the connections and men to help Tom carry out his plans...

Kai, I promise I'll find you... she closed her eyes and made a silent promise, but first, I have to find out who started all of this.

"How can we get in touch with this PJ?"

"That's the thing," Joshua began, "you don't find PJ— he finds you,"

Amira nodded as she thought about her situation. In order to get her answers, she had to go into the belly of the beast itself...

She had indirectly created a web of lies and secrets around herself that she needed to shed light on. She had to find the truth about everything... it was the only way she'd truly rest... it was the only way Tom would truly rest as well...

After they left Joshua's apartment, the hacker took her hand in his and they walked down the street while the temperature began to drop as the day went on. Amira thought it was awkward at first but slowly, as they continued to walk with nowhere specific in mind, she enjoyed it.

"Tell me about your life growing up," he asked her and immediately he felt her hand tighten.

"It was normal, I guess. I had both parents, a sister and we never had to worry about food," she shrugged. "I was very blessed,"
