Hi all so obvi this is deadass years late but I got a mini surge in comments / messages and I downloaded the app again lol so here is the very old draft chapter for the first kiss, there would have only been one between this and the last published one so continuity is still there!

Lowkey idk what I was on at 14 but I hope you enjoy it, I'm writing another original magic based story and the writing has certainly improved so wait for that, lols.

Anyway, enjoy and thank you to the 20 loyal readers I had from start to finish lol🥰

Slowly Liliana was gaining control over her lecremancy but walking through the stuffy castle halls was consistently insufferable. Rowan was still in the ward and she had actually been able to use Legilimency to talk to her which is what helped Liliana to stabalise her ability and concentrate the full  skill or shut it out when she needed, but even she could see that Rowan needed rest and talking to her with the anterior motive of practicing wasn't very fair of her.

She sat at Rowans barely conscious side for sometimes hours, she knew she would make a quick recovery but she enjoyed sitting in the musty library Rowans mind conjured for her, it wasn't a form of occulemency and Liliana could go through every inch of her life if wanted but it was where her mind resided. It also meant she could get a few hours of silence from everyone else's thoughts.

So Liliana decided walking around the actual library instead was fine and when she found a table secluded enough that she didn't hear any unwanted thoughts she sat, originally doing nothing but staring at open books until Madame Pince came around muttering to herself.

'Bloody nuisance children. Thank Merlin I'll never have any myself to ruin my own peace and quiet.'

She was beginning to leave solely from the old woman's interference to her momentary quiet. She hated that she had needed to stop her extroverted habits but it was simply too much, too many peoples thoughts at once made her whole head and body hurt which she couldn't do anymore. She couldn't force herself to just take everything in, she needed a brake from everything; her friends; the vaults and everyone's bloody minds.

slowly packing up her books with heavy movements and even drowsier shoulders. They hung low while her throat sighed and Pince's voice quietened as she walked away.

Then a new voice approached, but it was definitely physical, no traces of the whispers ones internal thoughts sounded like were held in it.

"Liliana?" She halted for a few seconds and gradually allowed a scowl to form on her face before continuing her packing.

"Liliana." It was louder now, at least by library standards and the footsteps coming towards her quickened but her eyes simply stayed on the piles of books she couldn't remember the contents of in-front of her.

"Gutierrez, don't ignore me."

"Why the hell not?" Her head snapped upwards allowing the beadiness of her eyes to focus on Talbott as he finally stopped across the table to her. He didn't say anything, his mind was flushed with hundreds of pages of words and declarations he wanted to say to her but no coherent thoughts managed to escape his lips.

The scoff croaking through her throat was loud, the force of it making her head momentarily fall forwards to truly show how fed up she was, and humour she found in whatever he thought he was doing. "I'm in zero mood to talk to you, so don't even bother."

"You need to talk to someone, Liliana" there it was, the sickly sweet way her name glided off his tongue. She wanted to slap herself for allowing any of these feelings to develop, let alone fester.
