My eyes open to a blinding light and screams. This is awful already, did the voice lie to me? I thought I would wake up where I left off. Why can't I move? No matter, I need to let my eyes adjust anyway. "GET BACK!" Someone needs to use their inside voice. My eyes finally adjust and I look around. I seem to be excessively small and... what is wrong with my eyes? Why are they not in the front like a human's eyes should be?

That isn't of importance right now, focus Charlotte. The people around me are dressed in Victorian era clothing and most are screaming and pointing at me. What is so horrific about a skinny woman of 5.2" with fantastic proportions. So I look down. I really wish I hadn't. All I could see was the scaly skin that belonged to my body. Sharp claws that pierced through the tips of my fingers and toes and the spikey tail that swung in the air as the doctor held me up to my new parents. "What was this! Am I not supposed to be human! Am I not to live with my family and protect the others at the bank! I need to get back!"

"We shall call her... Harmonia." Says the soft voice of my new mother to the few in the room. Coughs fill the room and the warm hands of my new mother start to fade to a cold tender skin. My new father begins to cry tender tears as she says her last few words. "I love you both." then her limbs go numb and I drop a few centimeters to the bed. Although I didn't know her, I felt pity and sadness and deep regret. "Was it my fault she died? I chose to come back to life didn't I? If I had not would this have happened? Was it my life for hers?"

My father cried as I held me and stared into my now blue eyes. It was clear by looking at him that he was not human and nor was I but I couldn't put my finger on what the two of us were. The man I call my father now, holding me as He runs abruptly from the hospital, tears streaming down his face. I was shaken from his running and cold from the wind but that was soon remedied as we climbed into a large black carriage.
