July 27
The semi-finals of the West Tokyo Qualifiers finally came and there was a lot of audience spectating the match. The match will start at 9 AM and with the scorching heat from the sun, will the players, especially Kat, be able to keep up?
"There are quite a few people here.." Said a female journalist who was tasked to watch the game between Seidou and Yakushi.
Her colleague - a journalist - retorted "This is the game that will decide who will play at the finals after all. It's bound to get a lot of attention."
"Yakushi High who destroyed Ichidai in their whirlwind rise to power. A dark horse kumbaga." Said the female journalist's colleague and he added, "And then there's Seidou High, aiming for a showing at the Koshien for the first time in six years."
"Who do you think is more likely, Rai-san?" Asked by the female.
"Considering their momentum, it's Yakushi." The female journalist had her eyes open wide after hearing her colleague's reply.
"It's really the momentum, that's the thing." The male colleague continue. "There's a chance that it won't become an all-out slugfest like the game with Ichidai, which gives Seidou the edge.
"But their ace, Tanba-kun, still hasn't pitched in a single game." The female journalist voiced out in a worrying tone.
"If Seidou's pitching team can't halt the momentum of the Yakushi batting lineup, it'll be a problem."

Arriving at the stadium, the two rival team for today's match met outside. A sour look coated Seidou coach's face as soon as he saw her niece's father. Both coaches shoot glares at each other before they took it back at itinuon pabalik sa kanilang mga team ang atensyon nila.
With a voice coated with much authority, Seidou's coach boomed "Let's go."
They all went inside the stadium first, walking past Yakushi. The amber-haired lady couldn't help but look at her dad from the corner of her eyes. A pang of pain creeps from her heart as she saw how cold her father's look is.
Seidou settles in their respective dugout as their team captain, Yuuki, got called by the match umpire for the toss of coin of who gets to play offense and defense to start the match.
The lady pitcher stared at the mound from their dugout, thinking that this will be her very first time to play an official match as a pitcher. It's her debut day as a pitcher. She chugs down the water prepared by their managers, keeping herself hydrated.
A certain player called out to her, "Oi." The lady turned her head to the side, facing the player. "You're unusually quiet today."
The lady retorted in return, "You're unusually concerned today." which earned her a snicker from the boy.
"Seriously, where's your enthusiastic self? We're playing a match today versus your father's team. You should be fired up." The catcher continued his concerned query at the lady.
She shrugs off, "I don't know," She replied heavily, "help me get my enthusiasm and motivation back then."
The bespectacled catcher let out an amused grin, "Are you asking for my help, Neko-chan?" He teased, sauntering his way slowly towards the lady.
