The practice games will be held on Wednesday and Friday at 5PM. Kasalukuyan akong nagbabasa ng libro sa library to kill some time bago ako magtungo sa field para panoorin ang laro nila.

I heard from Ira that tito was selecting randomly yesterday to go up against the school our team will face today. And of course, Ira was picked by tito and today will be Ira's debut day in baseball.

Napabuntong hininga ako and I mumbled, "Ira is so lucky."

Well, makaka-ensayo na ako sa aking pitch next week! So there's no reason to get down, self! I just have to wait for a couple more days!!!

With a smile lifting from my face, I continued to read the book.

5:00 PM

There are a lot of local people living near the school came to watch the practice game. Nasa labas lang ako ng field nakatanaw. Suot-suot parin ang school uniform, I sit down the bench.

Seidou High is part of West Tokyo and this school our team will be facing also came from West Tokyo.

Napatingin ako sa line up ng kalaban naming school and they're all hella big and they look strong. My gaze shifted from our team's line up. Well, they're so-so.

"Huh? Seidou has a female player?" Narinig kong sambit ng isang lokal.

"They're kidding, right?" Ani ng isa.

"Hahaha! They'll let that puny little girl go up against those big giants over there?!"

"Ano bang magagawa ng babaeng yan sa field??"

"Baka maging pabigat lang yan sa whole team! Hahahaha!!!"

"Seidou have lost their minds."

I tried to compose myself not to snap at these grownups. Ganyan talaga ka baba ang tingin nila sa mga babae? I squinted my eyes as I continue to drill my eyes on them.

"Guys, let's not jump into conclusion, okay?" Salita ng isang lalaking may maamong mukha.

"Coach Kataoka must've a reason why he let a lady play in this practice game. Hindi natin alam, baka ang babaeng yan ang magdadala sa kanila sa Nationals." Salita ulit ng lalaki.

"Haha! You have that much faith in that little girl huh, Takahira?"

"Well, it's just that let's not jump into conclusion agad-agad. Let's see her skills first before we judge." Tugon niya.

This is grownup is rational, I like it. He doesn't judge a person right off the bat because he simply wants to see their skills first before judging them.

Both team already lined up and the game finally started.

It's the top of the inning and the rival school played defense while we played offense. There's two strikeouts, no ball, and one base loaded. And it's Ira's turn to bat!
