ABOUT a month later, it was Harry's birthday. The month had gone by normally. The Weasleys would come to visit sometimes and so would Dumbledore but that was it. Also, Cassius and Harry had kept their relationship a secret from everyone.

Speaking of their relationship, it was going very well. Right now, Harry was in Cassius' arms.

"Happy birthday, love." said Cassius, planting a kiss on Harry's forehead.

Harry gave him a smile. "Thank you."

"I got you a gift." Cassius motioned towards the wrapped gift on the nightstand, thinking of the snitch he had bought for the boy. "Open it later."

"You didn't have to," replied the boy in his arms. "You are a gift."

"That's cheesy," muttered Cassius, but the smile on his face made it worth it for Harry.

Harry's eyes stopped on his smile. "I love your smile."

Cassius stopped, eyes on him. "How have I got so lucky?" He whispered to himself more than Harry.

"I've been asking myself that for a month."

"Happy birthday!" exclaimed Sirius in excitement as soon as Harry walked into the kitchen about an hour later— Cassius already there making himself a cup of coffee.

Harry muttered a 'thanks' and put his head on the table, looking sleepy.

Cassius sat down next to his father, sipping on the cup of coffee in his hands.

"Your O.W.L results are back," said Regulus as he gave the two boys envelopes.

Cassius immediately opened his, eyes scanning his results. "7 O's and and 2 E's." He said, noticing his father's curious expression.

Regulus' face broke out into a smile. "That's amazing, Cassius."

Sirius looked at Harry. "Open yours."

"It's my birthday," said Harry, shaking his head. "I'm not ruining it for myself."

Everyone's head snapped to the doorway when they heard the Weasleys— who all just flood in— and watched as they walked in.

"Happy birthday, mate." Ron told Harry, and so did some of the other Weasleys.

Meanwhile, what caught Cassius' attention was Fred Weasley— arguing with his mum about prank products. "Black can tell you how cool they are!" Fred pointed a finger at Cassius.

Cassius looked extremely confused. "I have never talked to you in my entire life."

Fred slung an arm over his shoulder. "Stand up for me, mate. You can get free products whenever you want if you do so."

Cassius took Fred's wrist and took his arm off of his shoulder. "I'd rather not."

That night, Cassius was in his room, smoking a cigarette with Ginny Weasley. The Weasleys were staying over for the night— everyone already asleep.

"He seems much happier now," said Ginny as she exhaled smoke, her cigarette between her fingers.

Cassius had the ghost of a smile on his lips. "I hope you're right."

"So do you." She noted, then looked at the door when someone walked in.

Harry, who was walking in after he closed the door, wrinkled his nose in disgust at the smell of the cigarettes. "I thought you quit." He looked at his boyfriend.

"Come here, love." Cassius patted the empty space on the bed, watching as Harry sat next to him. "I'm not smoking. She is."

Ginny raised an eyebrow. "He definitely did not finish smoking five minutes ago." She motioned towards the ash tray— which had a finished cigarette in it. "And that is definitely not his."

Cassius glared at her half-heartedly.

Harry rolled his eyes.

"Goodnight, guys." Ginny stood up and walked out of the room after putting her cigarette in the ash tray, closing the door behind her.

As soon as she was gone, Harry looked at Cassius. "I want you to quit smoking again, Cassius."

"I will." Cassius put a hand on his boy's jaw and kissed his lips lightly. "Anything for you."
