YULE had passed by very quickly. Dumbledore had came over once, muttering with Sirius and Regulus alone— nobody else was allowed to know what they were talking about. The Weasleys had came to visit for the holiday, some of them shocked when they saw Harry and Cassius holding hands. Ginny, meanwhile, had looked at them proudly.Right now, the students were all back at school, everyone rushing to their classes like usual.
"You didn't tell me he was your boyfriend," said Blaise with a frown as he walked alongside Cassius to their class; Potions.
"I didn't think you'd want to know." Cassius replied, not knowing what the big deal was.
"Traitor," hissed a seventh year Slytherin, who walked passed them, glaring at Cassius.
Cassius didn't look fazed, ignoring the boy. Blaise, meanwhile, pulled his wand out and was about to mutter a jinx, but his wand was grabbed by Cassius. "Why are you mad, anyway?" He asked Blaise as they walked into the potions classroom.
Blaise huffed as they walked where everyone else was standing. He took his wand back when Cassius offered it to him. "I'm not." He whispered to the boy, looking at the potion in the middle of the table in front of them.
Their attention was caught when Snape walked into the classroom, standing behind the table. "Can anyone tell me what this potion is?"
Hermione Granger held up her hand and so did a few more people.
"Potter," Snape looked at Harry, who glared at him. "What is this potion?"
Hermione whispered something before Snape could see her.
Harry, who heard her, replied, "Amortentia."
"And what does it do?" sneered Snape, motioning for him to step forward.
Harry did so and walked nearer to the potion. "It.. is a love potion?" He answered in uncertainty. "You smell what attracts you."
Snape barely could refrain himself from rolling his eyes. "What do you smell, Potter?"
Harry took a sniff from the potion, then blushed furiously when he smelled the cigarettes Cassius used to smoke, Cassius' cologne, and broomstick polish. "Cigarettes, cologne, and broomstick polish." Harry mumbled, stepping back and going back to stand beside his friends.
Cassius tensed immediately, avoiding eye contact with the boy. He tensed even more when he realized what he was smelling: Harry's shampoo, broomstick polish, and Harry's cologne.
"What do you smell?" Blaise asked, noticing Cassius' look.
Cassius swallowed, shaking his head. "What do you smell?" He shot back.
Blaise rolled his eyes, not replying.
"This is a potion few are able to make without messing it up," said Snape as he put the lid back onto the cauldron, catching everyone's attention again. "Can anyone tell me what this—" he pointed to a vial filled with another potion in it "—is?"
"Liquid luck." Cassius replied without realizing it, noticing the way Theo and Draco both straightened up. When Snape had his eyes on him, he continued, "It's supposed to make the drinker lucky."
"Indeed. Ten points to Slytherin." Snape said. "The person that manages to make Amortentia will get this vial of liquid luck. Do not—" he looked at Hermione Granger "—cheat. Do not partner up. And most of all, do not use it on anyone. If used on someone else, you will be expelled. This is your homework. If not made, then do not expect your liquid luck. You have one week."
