THE next day, Cassius was sitting in the great hall for breakfast. Blaise, who was sitting in front of him, bit into a piece of his pancake. After he swallowed, he looked at the boy suspiciously. "Where were you yesterday?"
"What do you mean?" asked Cassius in confusion, sipping on the juice in his glass.
"I mean you weren't in class all day."
"I was. First class."
"Only first class. So, where were you?"
Cassius rolled his eyes. "Does it matter, Blaise?"
Blaise shrugged. "Not really. I'm just bored. Also, it's the first quidditch game of the season; Ravenclaw VS Gryffindor. Will you come watch?"
Cassius nodded, his eyes going to the boy in the Gryffindor table— wearing Gryffindor quidditch gear.
"He's lucky you quit," commented Blaise, following the boy's eyes. "Maybe he'll finally get a chance at winning this year."
Cassius had quit as Blaise had said, because the Slytherins were not going to be playing with him as a teammate.
"He's a good quidditch player, Blaise." Cassius shot back.
"Not as good as you."

As the quidditch game began, Cassius sat down next to Blaise in the Slytherin stand, eyes on his boyfriend. His boyfriend, who was now in the sky, flying on his broom.
He looked away and looked into the teacher's stand instead, eyes now stopping on Sirius Black— who was there to watch his godson play.
He looked away from him, too, watching the game again, wincing when Ravenclaw scored ten points.

Cassius stood up, eyes widening when Harry fell on the ground.
It was half an hour later and the Ravenclaw seeker had accidentally pushed Harry to the ground.
However, Harry held his arm out, the snitch clear in his hand. Then, he let his arm fall, holding it in pain.
Blaise whistled. "That looks painful. Cassius— wait where are you going?" He asked in confusion, looking at the boy.
Cassius didn't answer, leaving immediately

About twenty minutes later, Cassius walked into the hospital wing, walking to the bed Harry was laying down in. "Hello, uncle Sirius." He greeted Sirius, who was sitting down in a chair next to the bed.
Sirius pulled the boy into his arms. Instead of trying to pull away or not do anything at all, Cassius slowly hugged him back with one arm. "Hi, Cassius!" Sirius enthusiastically said as soon as he pulled away with a grin, sitting back down. "What are you doing here?"
"Checking up on him," Cassius looked at Harry, eyes softening. "Are you alright?"
Harry gave him a small smile and a nod. "I'm alright."
"And your arm?"
Harry showed him his now-healed arm. "Madam Pomfrey is amazing."
Cassius smiled back. "I'm glad you're alright."

A few weeks passed. Right now, it was a Hogsmeade weekend. Cassius and Harry decided to go together. Which was why they were at the Three Broomsticks right now, sitting in front of each other.
"Malfoy's hiding something," said Harry out of the blue, pursing his lips when his boyfriend looked at him.
Cassius didn't blink. "What do you mean?"
"He's a death eater, we know that. But he's hiding something else. He's been acting weird, Cassius. He keeps going to the room of requirement. Haven't you noticed?"
Cassius had, in fact, noticed. Once, when he walked out of the room of requirement, he saw Draco pacing in front of it. Both of them had looked at each other without saying anything, until a door appeared for Draco, who then walked through without talking to Cassius.
Cassius had then left, not giving it a second thought.
"So?" Cassius asked in confusion. "He's probably doing death eater things."
"But in school?!"
"Harry, love, let this go. Death eaters do whatever they want without having any limits."
Harry sighed, annoyed that his boyfriend wasn't getting it. "What if he puts us all in danger, Cassius?"
Cassius then looked at the butterbeer in front of him. "I doubt he would be capable of such a thing."
"Let's hope so."

When he was back in the room of requirements, Cassius opened the daily prophet that he had picked up in Hogsmeade, eyes widening at the headline; two death eaters caught by Albus Dumbledore!
It seemed like things were starting to go back to normal then, Cassius thought.
