A couple of weeks had gone by Aidan seemed to stop visiting, causing (y/n) to be more lonely than she was before. She had lost the one person that kept her sane through the past couple of years. She blamed herself for pushing Aidan away, knowing he was only trying to comfort her. She blamed herself that Aidan probably was sick and tired of her and didn't want to see her anymore. She excepted that she was to be lonely for the rest of her life, locking herself in her bedroom once more.
Until Aidan had visited her.
"(y/n)!" Aidan barged through the doors, excitement seeping from his body at the gift he held in his arms until he saw the broken woman he loved sitting on the floor. "(y/n)?"
"Why are you here?" Aidan flinched at the harsh tone, wondering what he had done wrong to undo the years of friendship all the way back to the first night they met.
"I-I brought you a gift..."
"I don't want it." (y/n) spat out but Aidan noticed the sadness in his love's voice and he realised why she was upset.
"I'm so sorry (y/n). I had taken up extra jobs to buy this for you. I should've told you but I didn't want to ruin the surprise." Aidan mumbled out and (y/n) looked up to see Aidan in a suit holding a box in his hands.
She stood up, confused but not mad at the man before her anymore. "What is it? Why are you wearing a suit?"
"Open it!" Aidan was excited and shoved the box in (y/n)'s hands that trembled as she opened it. Her body trembled, avoiding to look up at Aidan that looked exactly like her husband and cursed herself for how her heartbeat sped up. Inside the box she opened was a blue lace dress, snowflakes embroidered on the gown. It was the most beautiful gown (y/n) had witnessed for so many years.
