Five groans out in pain as he stumbled into what seemed to be a library after teleporting from the lab company that had exploded. His body flopped on the oddly comforting carpeted floor with Dolores resting next to him. He turned his face, cheek resting against the carpet as Dolores stared at him.

"I don't know what to do now Dolores."

"Equations? That may be my last resort to figure out how to stop this apocalypse." Five grunts out as he lifted his aching body up with shaky arms, slowly getting up on his feet. He picks up Dolores and rests her against a pillar, jumping away to grab multiple books and stolen alcohol from the closest bar.

"No, I'm not doing to get surly. I need this to keep me awake." Five rolls his eyes at the mannequin, gulping down half the bottles contents, wincing at the slight burn but sighing out at the taste. "Time to get to work."

On the other side of the floor with the rambling teenage boy and his mannequin, sat a quiet girl that sat on the floor hidden away between rows of shelves. You were reading a book that was part of a series you had recently started, the silence being your only companion as the floor you were on of the library was rarely used or visited. It was almost always deserted. Something you preferred rather than sitting in a crowded area.

Ugh, I need to stop sitting on the floor like this for hours.

You wince out as you stretched your spine backwards, twisted your torso left and right before getting up.

At this rate, I'm going to get a flat ass.

You checked the time on your phone to see that it was a little past 5, the sun outside the window behind you slowly starting to dip below the horizon.

I should head home.

You quickly packed up your stuff, slinging your bag on your back as you walked out from between the shelves and out on the walkway. You walked around the floor, reaching the stairs when you stumbled across a strange boy in a tacky school uniform. He had fallen asleep with a mannequin held tightly in his grip, an empty bottle of Jack Daniels slipping from his lap and rolling towards your feet.

The hell?

You finally noticed the polished white pillars all covered in inky black equations, every inch of it scribble including the railings the boy laid against.
