Me and Isiah sidung inna d back seat a d car a breathe heavy as fuck, you know why.
Him jus come bck from where him did deh all day, him come fi mi and we a drive guh home and him jus park d car pon d roadside and we guh round a d back and that's where we are now.
Him nuh talk from him come fi mi and mi did start feel like sumn wrong?
"Isiah?" Mi seh and start trace letters inna the fog pon d glass.
"Yes babe." Him seh and draw up him pants.
"Why yuh suh quiet?" Mi ask and look pon him.
"Jus ave wull heap pon mi mind babygirl." Him seh while him a buckle him belt.
"And yuh cyah do dat everytime we have sex." Mi seh.
"Wah?" Him ask and a smile.
"You know, the pill will stop work if mi tek it too often, mi body will get used to it." Mi seh.

Then mi mind wander to the man from last night.
"How yah guh deal wid d man from last night?" Mi ask.

Mi sit back and start think to mi self.

Probably beat dem up, but killing is pushing it right?
Of course mi see him gun dem wah him try hide from mi, one gun deh almost every weh inna d house.

But at the end of the day mi jus a mek up things inna mi mind cause mi curious, either way mi woulda stick beside him but mi know that wouldn't be the outcome.
"Alright." Mi seh and look through the window.
"If yuh do sumn bad yuh woulda tell mi right?" Mi ask and him nuh ansa.
"Right Isiah?" Mi seh louder.
"Mi woulda neva drag yuh inna nutn so if mi do sumn bad mi wouldn't tell yuh, that way yuh naffi lie fi mi, if yuh deh pon my side." Him seh and rub him head.
"Mi a guh always deh pon your side." Mi seh and rub him hand.
Him nod him head and continue drive.

Since yesterday, Isiah a move distant and mi couldn't wrap mi head round it.
Him nuh sleep inna d bed that night, him barely talk when we reach in and mi coulda swear mi smell weed dis morning.
It jus naah add up. Mi try talk to him and either him barely ansa or him nuh ansa at all. Mi cook and sumn, curry shrimp and rice and mi share out my food.
To how the man nuh talk mi did all figet seh him deh deh.
Mi a walk pass wid mi food and mi juice and see him sidung a watch TV.
"Yuh waah some food Isiah?" Mi ask, him nuh ansa.
"Isiah." Mi seh.
"No mi nuh waah nuh food Serena." Him seh and d likkle shit turn up the TV.
"Yuh sure? Yuh nuh eat from last night." Mi seh, trying to be considerate and shit.
"Serena mi nuh jus seh mi nuh waah none? Stop badda mi fi real, mi deven a joke. Mi jus waah likkle piece and quiet, mi can get dat please?" Him seh, him neva shout or nutn, him say it nonchalantly. Den him kiss him teeth and turn back towards the tv.
"Mi hope yuh dead fi fucking hungry." Mi stomp guh inna d room and lock d door. Mi tek out mi phone and guh pon YouTube guh watch two true crime video and eat.
Mi did a try fi nuh get upset or fi think bout wah Isiah jus seh cause it woulda mek mi lose mi appetite. Him neva shout offa mi, him jus ask fi him space and dat did bother mi.
Mi tek a deep breath and tek up d cup and d plate and walk guh to the kitchen and put dem inna d sink.
Mi walk pass Isiah who did still a watch d TV and guh stand up behind him.
Maybe him stressed. A regular mi nyam off him head when mi stressed suh mi cyah vex when him do the same. All mi affi do is try be him peace right?
But him seh mi fi leave him alone. Mi nuh care.
Mi guh sidung beside him a d far end a d settee and itch up inna d corner.
Then outta d corner a mi eye mi see him adjust him self den boom, him laydown inna mi lap.
Yeah....affi.
Him wull mi hand and put it pon him beard and mi start play wid him beard.
"Yuh alright?" Mi ask.
"Shhhh" him grab mi mouth and pinch it.
"Alright." Mi seh and laugh.
We stay like dat till him drop asleep, like properly knock out and mi couldn't move cause d man heavy, suh mi jus guh sleep too.

"Stop." Mi seh and bax weh dem hand.
Mi hear one laugh from beside mi and mi open mi eye dem fi see Isiah still inna mi lap a smile.
"Yuh nave nuh fren old man?" Mi ask and laugh.
"No." Him seh.
"Serena mi love yuh enuh, yuh fuck. Yuh cyah lef mi, meeda mad out." Him seh and rub mi chin.
"Wah yah talk bout? A while a guh yuh run mi like dog." Mi seh.
"Mi neva run yuh. Mi jus seh mi waah likkle quiet." Him seh and kiss mi.
"Whatever." Mi roll mi eye and ease him up offa mi.
"Mi ave wull heap pon mi mind right now." Him seh and stretch.
"Well yuh know seh yuh can talk to mi." Mi seh and put mi foot inna him lap.
"Yeah but mi nuh waah talk, a nuh all d while mi a guh waah talk babygirl." Him seh and rub mi leg.
"Yeah but dat nuh seh." Mi fold mi hand and kiss mi teeth.
"Calm dung man." Him seh and laugh.
"Sometimes mi jus waah yuh keep mi company quietly, mi nuh mean ntn by it babes."
Mi sidung inna silence and a stare pon d TV.
"Yah spend Christmas wid mi next week?" Him ask and hug mi up.
Might as well, mi normally spend Christmas either by mi self or wid Amelia.
"Yeah." Mi neva normally celebrate it cause Christmas is a family holiday and well....mi nave nuh family.
"We a guh go ova mi mada." Him seh and kiss mi forehead.
