Serena's POV
He didn't answer after the first knock.
"Dem find Tiny body." I said and walked away. I sat on the couch and stare inna mi phone.
I was worried about him, I know he's going through it right now but why him a shut mi out?
My ringtone knocked me out of my thoughts and I answered immediately when I saw that it was Amelia.
"Girl, I heard about Isiah's mom. Him alright?" She asked.
"Wah yuh think girl? Right now him lock up inna one a d room dem and naah come out." Mi sigh.
"Oh God. Just try to be there for him and unuh stay safe please." She said before hanging up.
Frustrated, I went back and knocked on the door again, instantly the door fly open.
"Yes Serena." Him seh wid him phone pressed against him ears.
"Yuh alright?" Mi ask, squinting at him.
"Gimme a minute." Him lock back d door and mi jus stand up deh deh like idiot.
A couple minutes later him open d door and step aside fi mi come in.
"Isiah." Mi look pon him.
"Serena please, mi under wull heap a pressure and mi aunty dem nuh stop call dung mi phone. Mi jus waah relax, we can do dat?" Him ask, sounding exhausted.
Mi nod mi head and come outta d room. Mi guh run a bath wid warm water and one soap weh smell like Jesus perfume. Weh him get dis from?
Anyway, mi call him and we sat in the bath tub. I sat behind him and caressed his shoulders and I could feel him relaxing.
"Still cyah believe she gaan yow." Him put him hand pon him jaw. I shifted a bit so him coulda see mi and wull him chin.
"Everything a guh alright Isiah." I said planting a soft kiss on his lips.
"How yuh suh sure bout dat?" Him ask mi softly.
"Cause they always get better." I said kissing him again.
"Mi nuh think yuh understand how much mi love yuh enuh." He gently grabbed my throat and pulled me down to him, trapping my lips between his; slowly biting my lip.
"Isiah yuh sure yuh waah do dis right now?" I asked pulling away.
"Mi nuh waah dis, mi need it. Please doe wull out pon mi. Mi need yuh." He pleaded, turning around.
Him slowly start lean towards mi and mi close mi eye dem a anticipate a kiss then mi hear the sound of water splashing.
"Weh yah guh?" Mi open mi eye dem fi see him a put on him clothes.
"Serena come on."
I didn't even hesitate, him did have a look inna him eye weh mek mi know seh mi couldn't talk him into staying here.
"Yuh naah at least wash off?" Mi ask.
"Mi nave time. Hurry up and come on, mi naah lef yuh by yuh self. And bring yuh gun."
I did as told and draw on a sweat pants, a sweater and a pair of sneakers and put mi gun inna mi bag, fling it ova my shoulder and guh outside guh meet him inna d car afta mi lock up d house.
Him pull off and did a drive inna silence, something that I wasn't used to when it came to Isiah.
My heart ached for him, I know the pain he's going through, I literally went through it. I know he's hurting but putting on a tough exterior and that frightens me cause one day him a guh explode and it naah guh be pretty.
"Serena, before we reach, mek mi tell yuh sumn. Nuh talk to nuh baddy. Stay beside mi. Doe come outta mi sight." He told me strictly. I decided not to argue with him or ask questions even though one did a bubble inna mi head.
Where were we going?
"We a guh a mi yaad. Or kinda like mi business place. Bare illegal activity gwaan up deh. As mi seh, nuh chat to nobody." He said answering my question.
"Mi understand."
We drove in silence and in about 15-20 minutes we pulled up to this huge ass house. It was the biggest house mi eva lay mi eyes pon.
The big gates opened automatically and he drove inside and parked the car. I noticed a fee men sitting outside and a fee more came outside maybe to see who did a come in.
"A did my fada house, now a mine." He said looking at me. I nodded and we both got out of the car and he locked it behind us.
"A good ring yuh wear dat too enuh, mi nuh waah none a dem bwoy yah see how yuh stay good." Him seh, trying to lighten the mood, but I was nervous.
"Isiah mi fraid." Mi tell him. He had an unreadable expression on his face.
"Fraid a wah babygirl? A me yuh deh yasso wid. A my place dis Rena, wah d fuck yuh feel coulda happen to yuh?" He cocked his head to the side and kiss him teeth.
"Come ere." He pulled me into his chest and wrap him hand dem round mi. Him gimme a soft kiss pon mi farrid and sigh.
"You alone mi ave lef Serena, mi cyah mek nutn happen to yuh, yuh cyah fraid when yuh deh round mi, dat nuh mek mi feel good princess. Yaffi know seh mi woulda do anything fi mek sure yuh good. Now stop gwaan like coward and come on, yah guh mek d man dem think seh mi soft." Him chest vibrate wid every word weh him seh and I knew he was sincere.
He held my chin with his thimb and index finger, tilting my head up slightly and planting a soft kiss on my lips.
We walked up to the men that gathered outside and all a dem stay quiet until Isiah acknowledged them but that wasn't my Isiah, that was Uzi.
