"Conway?" I raised my hand as Professor Lupin took attendance. He smiled at me and then checked my name on the paper. I was currently about to nap, as I was way too tired from reading last night to listen to any of this.

"Conway." I woke up to the sound of my name. I noticed Lupin was standing over me. "Oh, sorry, Sir." I looked around, nobody else was in the room. "You slept through class, next time ask to use the infirmary, please." I nodded and collected my stuff, leaving the classroom. My next class is Herbology, ick. I don't mind learning about plants, but that's mainly done on my own time. I don't care to learn about the weeds that grow in some garden.

(Yes... another time skip. Saved you this time!)

I had just left Divination class, already having attended Charms. Today's schedule was exceedingly boring. Thankfully I have potions next. I am absolutely glad D.A.D.A. and potions are my only consistent classes daily, generally the only classes I enjoy.

I finally made it to the potions room, walking in and sitting next to Fred. "Good evening, Y/N." I smiled at the red headed boy. "Good evening, Freddy." He scoffed playfully and looked at the board. "Stealing? What does that have to do with potions?" I glanced at the board; my eyes widened when I realized that was today's lesson. He was going to tell everybody I stole his book. Oh, heavens.

He strode into the room quickly, and forcefully. As he often did. "If you have not yet read the board, then leave my room. You do not deserve to be at Hogwarts if you cannot pay attention to such a measly task." I rolled my eyes, what an ass. "Our lesson today is about stealing." Somebody in the back raised their hand, to which he huffed loudly. "What do you want, Parsley?" This made a few students chuckle, as that certainly wasn't the kid's name. "My name is Prickly, Sir. Also... what does stealing have to do with potions?" I looked back at Professor Snape, to which he audibly growled at the kid, who then held his head in his hands.

"I am the professor. I will be the one teaching. You will sit there quietly and take in the information. Understood?" Everybody nodded other than me. I wasn't about to bow down to this arrogant excuse of a man. What a dick. "I said, is that understood, Miss Conway." I glanced up at him, glaring slightly. "Fine." He shot me an angry look, then continued on with the lesson.

Mainly he ranted on about how stealing somebody's private possessions is incredibly inappropriate and that it could get you thrown out of the school. I knew he was referring to the book, but I ignored him either way. In the middle of his lecture, I got a random thought in my head. 'I could really use some fries right about now.'  What? That wasn't my thought. Is the bracelet working already? That must mean they are close, right? I mean don't get me wrong, who am I to turn down fries?

Once class was over, I noticed everybody walked out and quickly checked my wrist, noticing the bracelet was a mix of black and purple. They seem stressed and tired. Maybe they should rest. Oh well, not my place, I don't even know who they are! I grabbed my things and began to leave the room. I am quite hungry. Shouldn't have skipped out on breakfast and lunch. Before I could exit the room, I was stopped by a man's voice. "I hope you were listening to that lesson. It was strictly for you." I grimaced and turned back around to face the bummer of a human. "You sure do now how to make someone hate this class, don't you?" I grinned, knowing this would piss him off.

"What did you just say?" I felt my wrist vibrate and looked down to see the bracelet was turning a full black color. Damn, maybe my soulmate needs to meet Snape, I think they would be great together. "Your lesson was completely irrelevant to the classroom topic. You had us taking notes on how to not steal, instead of having us brew an interesting potion." He snarled at me, which made me giddy. I loved making the man mad, it was just way too easy. "Then perhaps you wouldn't mind brewing a potion in detention." Damn it. Went too far. I sighed and nodded. "Well, as long as I get to try a new one." I smiled gracefully. Backing up out of the classroom before he could say anything else to me.

(Time skip to detention, since it was only dinner left.)

I was making my way to detention when I noticed Luna and Amelia walking in the other direction. I smiled at the two who waved excitedly. "Y/N! OH, MY HEAVENS!" Lia yelled down the hall, I was quite surprised she didn't awaken any hidden beasts, or something. "What do you ignorant little children think you are doing, yelling across the school like that." Spoke too soon. The grumpy man made his way toward the three of us. Luna gulped and Amelia just stood there happily, she must have not met him yet. I cleared my throat awkwardly. "Sorry, Professor Snape! We were just happy to see our friend." Luna quickly spoke up. He glared down at the short girl, making her blush from embarrassment.

"I do not care what you were doing. It is obnoxious to scream like you are being chased by a bear." I giggled quietly, but I assume he still heard me from the evil stare he shot at me. "You. Why are you not with a chaperone... again?" I smiled innocently, trying to gain his annoyance once again. "Well, you see. I figured since I was only making my way down here, I could easily go alone." He snarled at me and turned back toward his room. I assumed he wanted me to follow, as I had detention, so that I did. Waving quietly to the two girls before stepping into the room behind the tall wizard.

"Pardon me for bothering you, Severus. Do you happen to have a moment to speak?" I heard a voice come through the door. He sighed whilst I sat in the chair furthest back from his desk. "Come in." McGonagall walked in with a sheet of paper in her hand, she immediately caught my eye, raising an eyebrow. "Is this student waiting on her company to roam?" I huffed angrily. How dare these professors think they can refer to me as if I'm a child. I then got another thought in my mind.

"What does she happen to need at this very moment in time?"

Damn, my soulmate is always angry.

For the first time in my 6 years of attending Hogwarts, I noticed Snape also had a bracelet on. I wondered if all of the professors were required one. His seemed to be a lighter shade of black. "What is it you need, Minerva?" She turned back toward the angry figure. "Ah, I need you to sign this form. It will be due by the end of the day, if you will." He nodded and she handed him the paper. She turned to leave but stopped when she made it to my desk. "Are you in need of company to walk the corridors?" I shook my head slightly. She raised an eyebrow, but her question was quickly answered.

"The student is serving detention." McGonagall turned toward Snape and nodded. "Oh, I see." She glanced at me once more, sending me a soft smile before she stepped out of the room. I stared at the professor until he finally looked up at me. "Can I assist you with something, or do you just enjoy staring?" I blushed at the word choice he gave and shrugged nonchalantly. "Aren't I supposed to be working on a potion?" He scowled at my reply and looked back down at his paper. "I do not care what you do but make yourself useful. Perhaps you could clean the cauldrons to the left of you." I huffed and quietly walked over to the cauldrons, beginning my work at the sink. I began to think of things I could do this weekend while I cleaned the items. Party sounds fun... but I would need a secret place to host it, where we wouldn't be found. Ah hah! The Room of Requirement is perfect. I can seal off the door to everybody that doesn't have the password. I smirked to myself, finishing the last cauldron. "Something amusing to you, Conway?" He spoke with such leer. "No, Sir. Just thinking of something." He glared at me whilst I walked over to the vials, beginning to sort them by size.

"Don't bother with those. Your detention is over." I grinned widely, skipping out of the dark room. Finally! Time to make invitations for the party. Once I exited the room, I noticed Lupin standing over me. "Good evening, Y/N." I sighed, realizing Snape probably called him to escort me back to my dorm. "Hello, Lupin." He smiled sweetly, before following me to the Slytherin Common Room.

I waved him off as I approached the room. Stepping inside, I immediately was greeted by Draco. "Y/N! FINALLY. I need to tell you something." I nodded and walked over to him, sitting beside him on the sofa. "What is it, Draco?" He stared at me awkwardly while I raised an eyebrow, waiting on his reply. "I think we should hunt down our soulmates."
