I felt a presence hovering behind me, so I closed my book, placing my quill back into it's ink holder. I turned around and smiled, standing up and wrapping my arms around them. Looking into his eyes, he smiled at me.
"We must get the young heathen ready for his second year. Tomorrow is the first day, after all."
I laughed at Severus, who looked over at Maggie Y/M/N Snape, our daughter. She giggled at us and ran over to join the hug. I smiled at her with just as much love as I had for Severus. She was gorgeous. She has his eyes and his smile. Severus swears she has my nose and my hair, but I don't know. Maybe.
I asked little Maggie to begin packing up for tomorrow, and Severus apparated to Diagon Alley to receive a surprise pet for her. These two are so sweet together. I couldn't be happier with my life.

Memorial Note for Maggie Smith:
As many of you probably know, Maggie Smith (Actress of Minerva McGonagall) passed away yesterday, September 27th, 2024, at the age of 89.
She not only was an exceptional actress, but she was an amazing person as well. Maggie was loved by many, and will continue to be. She has left a legend behind and will continue to leave a mark on history for a very very long time.
Maggie Smith, may you rest in peace.
Please raise your wand for her and pray for the family and fans that loved her dearly.
