Imagine I make you wait until chapter 35 before they actually kiss... that would be so evil of me... 😈
Don't worry, I won't do that. Enjoy the chapter. ;)

"Just where do you think you're going?"
I turned around, rolling my eyes.
"Where does it look like I'm going? To the hospital wing, duh."
He scoffed and reached out grab my wrist forcefully. I writhed in pain and ripped my arm back. He looked at me with concern for almost a second before he quickly turned back to anger. He turned around and began to stomp away. "Follow me." I huffed and followed after him.
Once we got to his classroom he had me step inside and wait for him to return. I slumped into a seat and began tapping my pencil against the desk.
The door finally opened and I turned my head to look at the man, only to realize it was Ron Weasley who had entered. He looked at me curiously and sat down in the seat across the aisle. I raised my eyebrow at him and then began tapping my pencil again. When the door opened again, Snape had finally come into the room, holding something in his hand. He looked at Ron and then back to me. He walked through the aisle and sat a potion on the desk in front of me.
"What is th-"
"Drink it." He pestered me.
"Fine.." I took a sip and sat it back down. I slowly began to feel my wrist vibrate and twist. It felt incredibly weird and I hated every second of it. All three people in the room were now staring at my wrist. It was still very painful and I was grimacing as I watched it contort.
After around 2 minutes the twisting had stopped and my wrist was back to a normal color. The pain was gone. I smiled slightly. "Thank you.." Snape didn't reply, he just simply leaned against his desk.
Ron spoke up next, questioning things I hadn't gotten around to, yet. "Professor... why am I here?" Severus gave him a glare and cleared his throat, causing Ron to close his mouth and sink into his chair.
I never understood why people were afraid of him. He's not all that scary.
I watched him as he shuffled quietly and then regained his composure. I could tell he read my mind, I felt it. "Weasley, get out." Ron stared at him in shock but left quickly, not wanting to argue. I raised my eyebrows as I watched the red-haired child leave the room in a hurry.
"You.." He turned to glare at me as I stared back at him. As I said, I wasn't afraid of him.
"What would you like me to do... Sir?" I smirked, the last part escaping my mouth as I knew it would do something to the older man. He squirmed slightly before looking away. He tried to play it off and walked over to a shelf, scurrying through potions like his life depended on it. While he was trying to make himself look less nerdy, I took the liberty to throw my feet onto my desk, making myself more comfortable. He turned back toward me and flicked his hand, throwing my feet back onto the floor. I groaned and rubbed my knee as I had bumped it onto the desk as a result of his forceful magic.
"Organize this shelf. You have 30 minutes."
I nodded and walked over to the shelf. I figured I might as well play with him a little bit more. I grabbed a potion and looked over at him in the corner of my eye, I saw him watching and smirked to myself. "Sir... may I ask you what this is for?" I turned my body in his direction and made my way over to his desk. I sat it down with my hand and slowly slid it over to him, bending over as I did so. He watched me the entire time before finally looking down at the potion once my hand had stopped moving.
He went to grab the potion and I made sure to graze his hand as he did so. He cleared his throat and grasped the potion harshly before bringing it up to his face. "Miss Conway... if you truly do not know what this is.. you shouldn't be in advanced potions." I furrowed my eyebrows and walked around his desk to see what exactly I had picked up.
Shit.
It was a boil cure potion, the first potion you ever learn at Hogwarts. Now I looked like an idiot. "Oh.." He tried to hide his smile, but I saw it anyways. I grabbed the potion back and turned toward the shelf, walking over and placing it back into its spot. I had no true intention of cleaning anything today. I knew just how to end the detention sooner. I just had to bother him until he dismissed me early.
"Sir..." He sighed loudly and looked back up at me from his desk. "What now, Conway? Did you find an Amortentia potion?" I scoffed as he listed off another simple potion name. "Of course not. I wanted to talk to you about something." He raised his eyebrow and watched me as I walked over to his desk again. I scooted a chair over and sat down across from him.
"What did you need?" He asked curiously. If anything, that tone of voice would be gone in seconds.
"I was wondering what made you say that to me earlier.." He furrowed his eyebrows, then quickly realized what I was referring to. His breath hitched and he shifted uncomfortably in his seat. "Um.. I don't know what you're talking about." I rolled my eyes and leaned forward, pressing both of my elbows onto the edge of his desk and resting my head on top of them. I smiled innocently at him, causing him to back up an inch. "Well, allow me to repeat it for you. You said, 'We are not soulmates' just before I stormed out. Do you remember now?" He huffed at me and sat up straighter, as if he was ready to leave the conversation at any moment.
"Again.. I don't know what you are talking about." I sighed and stood from the chair. I wasn't going to allow him to act like he didn't know. I walked over to his side of the desk as he watched me nervously. "Stand up." I ordered him and he looked at me like I was crazy. I moved my arm in a 'come here' motion and he finally stood, staying 3 feet away from me. I huffed and walked closer to him, stepping up so we were only around 5 inches apart, like we were earlier that day in his chambers. He gulped and I smirked at him. "Let's replay it then, shall we? I'll be you. All you have to do is stand there and look sad, got it?"
He grimaced angrily as if I had offended him but stood silently anyways. "Y/N," I cupped his face just like he had done to mine in that moment. He stared at me with wide eyes and I continued. I spoke the next sentence with as much strength and anger as I could manage to get out. "We are not soulmates." I wanted him to feel as hurt as I did. "You are my student and I am your teacher. We cannot be together, even if we could, my point still stands. There is no way we could be soulmates, mine died 11 years-" He then cut me off before I could finish the statement. "Get out." I hesitated before I dropped my hands off his face. I looked at him angrily. I've never been this angry at him before. He knew that. His face faltered as I stared back at him with rage.
He kept hurting me. Over and over again. Yet, he didn't seem to care.
I backed away from him and my face dropped as I turned to get my stuff from my desk. I heard his breathing slow down and I panicked to leave as soon as I could. I didn't want him to see me break. I would look weak. I would look desperate and sad. I couldn't let him see me like this.
I had managed to get halfway out of the classroom before he called. "Y/N..." I didn't turn. I refused to look at him in this moment. If I looked at him I was afraid I would either collapse in tears or punch a wall. Neither being what I would want him to see of me. Not hearing him say anything else, I left the room angrily, slamming the door behind me.
I felt like I wanted to go to Minerva, but I couldn't bother her again. I decided I'd just go spend the rest of the night crying in my dorm. It was best that nobody saw me the way I was right now. I didn't want to come off as a wimp.
I made my way to the Slytherin Common Room, just down the hall from his class. I muttered the password. I looked out of the corner of my eye and saw him making his way toward me. I panicked as I now had tears streaming down my face. I gulped as the portrait failed to open. I huffed and spoke louder. "SNAKES ARE NEAR, MUGGLES BEWARE." I nearly shouted the password, getting angry that the portrait refused to open. Finally, it slowly creaked open just as he was nearly 5 feet away. I heard him call my name again and I slipped into the Common Room, the portrait slamming shut in front of him. Thankfully.
I spent the rest of the night reading, crying and practicing spells under my blanket so I didn't wake anybody else. It was a calming night and I was glad It didn't come with any more drama. I don't think I could've dealt with that.
