I'm currently on my way to breakfast, I got up early today hoping I wouldn't sleep my way through class. I sat at the Slytherin table in my normal seat. Once I noticed the door open and Professor Snape walk in, I smirked.

This was another reason I had waken up early. I wanted to annoy him into agreeing to teach me legilimency. "Good morning, Professor." I smiled innocently, batting my eyelashes at the older man. I saw him roll his eyes as he walked by but he didn't get too far before I called out to him.

"Sir! Could you please join me a moment? I would like to ask you a question about potions!" He paused a moment, as if he was pondering the question. I heard a quiet "Make it quick.", as he sat across from me.

"Well, I know you said no yesterday, but I was wondering if you'd think about teaching me legilimens, I even woke up early to make sure I got to class on time!" he glared at me before replying with no emotion. "This is not a potions question."

I smiled and decided to play with him even more. I "accidentally" tapped his leg with my foot, causing him to jump a bit, then stare at me with anger. "Miss Conway. That is not helping your case." I giggled and shrugged. "I won't bother you anymore...if you agree to teach me."

He huffed and looked away a moment, noticing the students starting to come in. "I will think it over." I smiled, noting this was a maybe.

After breakfast I had made my way to my first class of the day, transfiguration. I always liked Professor McGonagall, she was incredibly nice to anybody and everybody she spoke to, if you were respectful, of course.

Walking in, I sat my stuff at my desk in the front of the room. "Good morning, Miss McGonagall." She looked up, smiling at me sweetly. "Good morning to you, Y/N." I opened my notebook and began writing more notes that I had started in the last transfiguration class. Once everybody had taken their seats, the class started.

"Alright, for today we are going to work on changing your items into cups." She quickly looked around the room before landing on a red-head. I couldn't see their face, but knew it was a Weasley just by the hair.

"Ronald, would you mind testing it for us?"

He stuttered out a quiet "O-okay", as he gulped and held his wand in his hand tightly.

"Great, why don't you use your pet rat? Turn it into a cup using the correct spell." The kid had tried, and ultimately failed as his wand seemed broken.

"Perhaps you should look into purchasing a new wand." The class giggled and went off to try the spell on our own. I successfully turned one of my books into a cup, which Minerva applauded me for. She quickly raised it into the air, ushering for the other students to look at it. "This is a great example of what it should look like." She glanced over at Ronald, which caused a slight blush to raise on the boy's face. She sat it back down on my desk and dismissed the class.

I had potions next, perfect. To both mine and Snape's surprise, I had made it on time. I shot him a grin and slid into my seat. He raised his eyebrows and nodded, standing up to speak to the class. "Today you will be brewing the Amortentia potion." He quickly glanced at me, and I realized why he had me practice it in detention. He was looking out for me. "So, you will be in teams of two. I have started the potions for you, since it takes many hours to complete. You only need to do the last few steps."

I looked around the room, noticing everybody had already had a partner and I was left alone. Great. I began stirring the pre-made base on my own when I felt a tall presence towering over me. I looked up to meet Professor Snape's silent gaze. "Hello, Professor." He looked down at my potion and nodded, telling me I was doing well. I smiled back at  him and he lingered a bit longer, looking over me as I continued making the Amortentia.
