Author's Note:
Happy Valentines Day! Here's a fluff chapter just for you people out there that want to spend the day with Snape. ;) (Please read the author's note at the end, as well.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I walked over to his kitchen and began sifting through his cabinets. He watched me from his bed, not being able to get himself up. I finally found a cup and placed it onto the counter. I opened his fridge and grabbed water, pouring it into the cup. I cleaned up the kitchen and walked the water over to him. I handed it out and he drank it slowly. I sat back down next to him and stared quietly. He sat the cup onto his nightstand and looked down at his arm. I followed his gaze and noticed him looking at his bracelet. I frowned and wondered if he was still thinking of his dead soulmate.
He looked over at me and noticed me staring at it as well. He reached his arm out and grabbed my cheek with his hand. I blushed unwillingly and turned to look away from him. He sighed and released my face. He sat back against his headboard again and stared at me curiously. "What?" I spoke up.
Can you do me a favor?
I furrowed my eyebrows and tilted my head, waiting for him to continue.
Could you pick up the book on my sofa and bring it over to me?
I nodded and stood to get the book. Walking over, I noticed it was a book about Muggle Poetry. I smiled and picked it up. I made my way back over to him and sat down on the bed. I handed it to him, and he looked at me sadly. I stared at him confusingly.
Can you read it to me?
He smiled innocently and I rolled my eyes back at him. I huffed. "Fine." He sat up straighter and waited for me to begin. I opened to a random page and began reading.
"Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove.
O no! It is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wand'ring bark,
Whose worth unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come;
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me prov'd,
I never writ, nor no man ever lov'd."I finished the poem as he kept his eyes on me the whole time. I felt myself blush under his gaze and shifted nervously.
Thank you.
I smiled down at him and he closed his eyes again. I sat there for a moment before I heard him start to snore quietly. I grinned to myself.
I figured it would be best to leave, as I didn't feel comfortable staying overnight. I quietly left his chambers and made my way back to my dorm. Everybody was in bed by now and I managed to successfully sneak past them to my place of rest. I sat my stuff down on my chest and slipped into bed.
I thought about everything that had just happened and frowned. It probably would be back to hating me by tomorrow morning. I closed my eyes and felt the sleep take over.
