This one will be rather long to make up for the late updates. Sorry for the wait!!

I woke up the next morning to somebody shoving on me. I rubbed my eyes and sat up slowly. "What is it?" Some girl gave me a soft smile and spoke quietly. "You're the prefect...right? I am a first year, my name is Calidora. I was wondering if you could accompany me to breakfast a bit early? I would like to speak to you privately."

I raised my eyebrows and nodded. She gave a small grin and left the room. I stood up and got ready for the day before heading out after her. I noticed her waiting for me in the common room. I followed her out of the room and we began to head to the great hall. "What is it you wanted to speak to me about?"

She seemed to become a bit nervous and paused for a moment. She breathed a release of air and dropped her shoulders a bit, beginning to walk a bit faster. "Sorry, but I would rather it wait until we reach a quiet point." I furrowed my eyebrows, quite confused as the hallways were completely empty besides Filch and his cat. Then again, I can't blame her for not wanting to speak up in front of him. He could be rather grumpy and also a bit of a tattle.

I smiled and nodded. A few moments later and we had finally made our way into the great hall. I noticed a few teachers were already there, which meant we only had about 5 minutes until the students would be coming in. We found a spot close to where the first-years sat, I assumed it was her normal seating. "Alright, what is it?" She quickly glanced at the professors, when she noticed none of them were paying attention she began to speak.

"So...I overheard a conversation between some second-year Slytherins, I would have confronted them myself, but they're a bit older than me, so I panicked." She paused a moment as we heard a door open. We both looked over, seeing Severus come in. He looked a lot better today, but I was still angry with him, so I looked away. "Anyway, they were talking about how they were going to plan a prank." I was only half-listening, which isn't the best thing to be doing as a prefect, but Severus had just passed by, could you really blame me? I noticed him look at me and I hesitated looking away before something the girl said caught my attention.

"I wasn't listening too much until I noticed they stated that the prank was against the potions professor." I quickly interrupted her. "Pardon?" She nodded quickly before continuing. "Yes...and I am fairly sure it would not be such a great idea since his health hasn't really been the best lately. I mean, everyone can tell..." I glanced up at the professor's table, he was staring back at me. I snapped my head back onto the girl. "Thank you, Calidora. Do you happen to know when they were planning it for?"

"Today, I believe? After lunch." I smiled softly before I thanked her again. "I will be sure not to mention your name to anybody." She nodded as I stood from the table. I noticed students start to come in so I would need to make this quick. I was originally going to tell Severus directly, but since I told Calidora I wouldn't get her involved, I decided to go to Minerva instead, since she wasn't paying attention to us as we spoke.

I walked up to the professor's table and she immediately noticed me, raising her eyebrows. "Yes, Y/N?" I smiled softly and asked if I could speak to her privately. Most of the teachers now had their eyes on us, making me feel extremely exposed. She nodded and stood from the table, leading me out of a side door that led to a hallway. "What's the matter?" I shut the door softly as I didn't want to alert anybody else. "There are some Slytherin students who plan on pranking Se-" I quickly stopped myself from saying the first name out loud. "Snape. I was a bit worried since he hasn't been in the greatest health yet. I can speak to them after breakfast but I was wondering if you could keep an eye on him, just incase they still go through with it."
