I woke up the next day, completely missing dinner last night as I had fallen asleep rather quickly. I rubbed my head and groaned, feeling groggy. I sat up, scolding myself for getting sick at the wrong time. I guess I could head to the potions classroom for a healing potion. It was better than having to sit amongst the hospital wing. I got up, staying in my pajamas. I began walking down to the potions room, as they were both in the dungeons so I wouldn't need to walk too far. Once I had made it there I knocked on the door, unsure if he would even be there.

Unfortunately, I was right. He wasn't there. I waited three minutes before giving up and deciding to head to the Great Hall to speak to him there, but before I could get anywhere I ran into a dark, tall frame. "Oh. Miss Conway. What are you doing up so early? As well as... in your night clothing." I would've laughed at his awkwardness if I hadn't felt so uneasy. "I was wondering if you had any healing potions to make me not feel so much like shit."

"Language."

I rolled my eyes and followed him into the classroom. He began searching a shelf and huffed every 30 seconds. "Where is it." He kept looking and I held my stomach as I felt like I had swallowed a live owl. "Can you be just a tad faster?" He glared at me and sighed. "Fine. Follow me." He left the room with me shortly in tow. We made our way to his chambers and I felt warmth immediately rush over me. It made me feel safe when I was in here for some reason. It was rather odd. Taking a quick glance at his bracelet, I noticed it was a deep orange color, unsettled. Which was odd, because that's how I felt.

I then looked at mine which was a shade of black and green. Stressed and sad. Interesting. I closed the door behind me and followed him to a door that I hadn't seen before. He opened it, revealing shelves full of tiny bottles of potions, a ladder leading up to the highest shelves, and even cauldrons lacing the floor. I smiled, realizing this is exactly what I should've expected from the grumpy professor.

So adorable. Wait! What am I saying? He's my professor.

I noticed he paused and I quickly jumped out of my thoughts, furrowing my eyebrows at him. "What is it? Did you find something?" I noticed him take a deep breath and his cheeks were now the lightest shade of pink. I wondered what he was thinking right now. This is why I should've been taught legilimens before!

He went back to searching before he picked up a small bottle with light green liquid in it.

"I know it looks horrible, but it should help with time. Until then, I expect you to lay in my bed until you feel better." I blushed and looked at the floor to hide it. He was going to let me stay here, again? I wasn't even drunk this time...

"Do you understand?" I snapped my head back up at him, nodding. The blush was still very apparent in my cheeks and I believe he noticed as he got anxious quickly and began climbing back down the ladder. "Come." He walked out of the room and I followed, shutting the door to the closet behind me. We made our way over to his kitchen and he opened a cabinet, pulling out a glass. He poured water into the cup and handed it to me, along with the potion.

"Drink. You will feel better." I slowly opened the bottle and tilted it back, pouring it down my throat. I grimaced at the taste and quickly chased it with the water. Once I was finished I smiled at him and handed him the cup and vial. "Thank you." He sat the dishes in the sink and walked me over to his bed. His entire chamber was fairly open, so you could see everything from the front door, with the exception of the bathroom and the closet areas.

I sat down on the bed and he huffed at me. I raised an eyebrow and he pointed at my clothing. "Did you wear that to bed last night?" I slowly nodded, realizing it probably smelled like death due to my sickness. He rolled his eyes and walked over to another closed door. I couldn't see inside when he opened it, but I assumed it was another closet once he had pulled out an oversized t-shirt. "Put this on. You'll want to remain comfy and clean if you plan on sleeping in my bed." I smiled lightly and went to take my shirt off. His eyes widened and he quickly turned around to face the dining room. "Great Merlin, warn somebody next time!" I giggled and changed my clothing.

"Done." He turned back toward me and nodded once. "Better. Lay down." I pouted and he guessed what I was trying to insinuate. "No. No way, I'm not staying this time. I have classes to teach." I frowned and he rolled his eyes. "I'll come back in between them to check on you. Don't go too far." I smiled and nodded sweetly. I then came up with a great plan. "Severus?" He furrowed his eyebrows, waiting on my reply. "Do you mind leaving your bracelet here? I want to test something." He gave me a weird look, but took it off anyways. He handed it to me and I smiled.

"Get some rest." I nodded and he left the room. Perfect. Alone time. I blushed, noting to myself that I was indeed, in Severus' bed, wearing his shirt, holding his soulmate bracelet. It felt so special to me. The door open and I hadn't noticed until I heard a voice speak. "My apologies, I have forgotten my book."
