Suddenly I got an idea in my head, "Brilliant, y/n. You've really outdone yourself with this one." I headed back toward the classroom, noting the door was already opened.

I walked over to the desk I had been sitting in and started looking over the ingredients for the potion.

"Professor?"

He sighed dramatically and looked over at me, taking his attention off his papers. "What is it you want now?"

"May I play music? It helps me focus." He huffed and nodded hesitantly. "Fine. However, if this potion is wrong, you will restart until it is completely correct." I smiled victoriously, whilst I thought to myself.

My plan is going great.

I looked at the older man once more before I put on the song, I noticed he was staring at his desk with a confused face.

Severus' POV

Just as I was waiting on Y/N to start the potion, I heard her speak up. "Professor?" I sighed angrily and looked up at her, pausing my paper grading.

"What is it you want now?"

She smiled almost with an evil intent as she spoke again, "May I play music? It helps me focus." I huffed before nodding. I hoped this wouldn't mess up the potion again, as much as I don't want her in here longer than she needs to be, if I don't figure out what went wrong yesterday with her potion, I'll be in deep trouble with Dumbledore.

I know he will find out what I smelled.

"Fine. However, if this potion is wrong, you will restart until it is completely correct."

My plan is going great.

What is my "soulmate" planning? Is this even real? I'm not even sure if I believe in the whole soulmate thing. I thought Lily was my soulmate, but it turns out, she went for James.

I snapped my head up when I heard her turn on the music I was listening to the other night.

"The sound of the wind is whispering in your head
Can you feel it coming back?
Through the warmth, through the cold, keep running till we're there.
We're coming home now, we're coming home now."

She must just have the same taste in music, yeah, that's all it is. I felt my wrist vibrate, indicating a change in the color. When I pulled back my sleeve, I noticed the bracelet was a dark pink color. They're romantic? Aren't they only supposed to be romantic around their soulmate? Unless they've mistaken somebody else as theirs, that would make sense.

"Get started, then." I watched her a moment as she started scurrying around, grabbing the ingredients. I rolled my eyes when I saw her drop, then catch a small vial.

"Hah... lucky catch." She smiled mischievously and got started on creating the potion.

Your POV

My bracelet was still orange, I don't understand. I really thought he was my soulmate. Maybe he's just too oblivious to realize it himself? I do have one more small trick up my sleeve. I sat my ingredients down softly, trying to avoid alerting him as he had his head down. I quietly tip-toed over to his desk. I cleared my throat softly and watched as he looked up from his grading.

"Again? What is so important that you keep interrupti-"

I took the chance to kick him under the desk as he began talking. I stared intently as his face turned red and he immediately bent down to grab where I had kicked him.
