Previously: Once I was back in bed, I remembered the item wrapped in paper that he had handed me. Surely if he really didn't want me to open it, he wouldn't have given it to me. I smiled, content with my own explanation before slowly opening the paper.

In the paper was his bracelet. I stared at it a moment as the red swirled around inside of it like water. I looked back at the paper, noticing there was writing on it. (Pretend the brown circle is pink, oops.)

I was incredibly confused about what this could mean...maybe I wasn't meant to read it...but I am definitely going to ask him about it tomorrow. I put the bracelet back into the paper and rolled it into a ball, like it was when I had found it. I stuffed it into my jacket pocket and turned over on my side after. I tried to focus on falling asleep, but I couldn't bring myself to do so. Maybe I could go up to the astronomy tower so I can catch some air and take a walk. Hopefully that will make me more tired. I put my jacket over my PJs, which was just a silk pink top with a bow and matching shorts. I headed out of the Slytherin dormitories and began walking towards the tower. I looked down at my jacket, realizing I had forgotten my wand. I couldn't cast lumos, therefore I had no way of seeing exactly what was in the hallways.
Just in time, I bumped into something. "Fuck" I heard a quick sigh, and somebody cast the light spell. "Oh, Professor Lupin." he smiles gently and nods, "I am glad it is just you, and not Filch." I giggled in response. "Why are you wondering the halls at night, might I ask?" I thought a moment before deciding to tell him the truth. "Well, I could not sleep." he nods and then furrows his eyebrows at something behind me, I duck and turn around, seeing nothing but darkness. "What? Seen a ghost?" I chuckle to myself and turn back toward him before he replies, "Uh, something of the sort." I am confused at this point, that is, until I hear the deep voice just inches behind me. "What do you two think you are doing out this late at night?"
I winced and turned toward him, immediately knowing who it was. "Well-" I was stopped by Lupin. "I asked Miss Conway to accompany me a moment." he now had his wand closer to Snape's face, allowing me to finally see it. I nodded eagerly, "Yup." he squinted in return, but eventually let up. "Fine. I'll let you be." he began to turn around before Professor Lupin spoke up again, "Wait! Severus, I would be grateful if you were to escort Miss Conway back to her common room." he raised an eyebrow but nodded softly, "Very well.." I mentally thanked him for the good opportunity, now I could talk to Severus about the paper.
We begin to walk off down the hall when he stops me. He turns around to see where Lupin was, when he saw he wasn't there, he turned back toward me. "Now you are to tell me what you were really doing out after lights out." I gave an innocent smile, and he rolled his eyes. "Do not be coy. I know you were not helping Remus with anything willingly." I giggled and shrugged. "I needed a walk because I couldn't sleep. I didn't think I would be running into two different staff members." he raised an eyebrow quickly, "And why is that?".
"Why is what?" He huffed before beginning to walk again, with me following in tow. "What was stopping you from sleep?" I stood up a bit straighter whilst clearing my throat. "Uhm, it's best if I tell you in private." He raised his eyebrows before looking around us, "There is nobody here but us." I took the paper out of my pocket, and he immediately froze. "Oh..." I nodded awkwardly and he sighed before grabbing my arm and dragging me down the hallway. We got to the potions room and he shoved me inside before shutting the door behind him. "I told you not to open that. Let alone read it." I rubbed the back of my neck while I thought of what to say.
"What did you mean by further your research with me?" He seemed shocked for a moment. "How did you know what it said?" I furrowed my brows. "What? It was on the paper."
"No, I removed it from the paper before handing it to you...I made sure of it." he seemed to question himself before quickly regaining his serious stance. "Well, clearly you did not make sure enough, because it was there." he glared at me a moment. I looked away in thought, trying to figure out what he could have meant. No, it couldn't be...
Did...did he want to kiss me?
"Precisely."
My eyes widened as he stood staring at me, his face not faltering at all. I blushed a deep shade of pink and looked at the floor. "Uhm..there is not another way to test what you are thinking?"
"Do you really want to try another way?" he shot me a soft smile, which he never really did. Not that I have seen, anyway.
"...No."
