NOW I'M MOVING ON, LETTING GO, HOLDING ON TO TOMORROW.
*HANNAH MONTANA.

VALENTINA.

My birthday was a blast.
Like usual Bree went over the top.
She somehow made it known to the whole school that it was my birthday.
I'm not complaining though,I had fun with my best friends.
Since I'm eighteen now, everything in my father's name is officially mine.
So I no longer have to leave at the orphanage.
I'm going to miss it there, especially Lydia she's like a mother I never had.
Our school break starts today.
I'm done packing, and ready to go.
Mal is going to visit her grandparents for some time and Bree is going to visit her dad.
This is the first time,we will be spending the holidays apart in three years.

"My mom's here,"Bree says entering our now empty room.

"I'm going to miss you,"I say hugging her.
I'm so thankful for Bree this semester, she's helped me through so much and I'm forever grateful.

"I'll call you as soon as I get home,"she says and I can tell she's smiling.

I pull away and give her a smile.
Mal already left so I'm the last one to leave.
I'm waiting for my cab to arrive.
"Have fun,"I say.

"You too,and if you need anything,I'm a phone call away,"she says."bye".

"Bye,"I say hugging her again.

She walks away and I remain alone.
I receive a notification on my phone that my cab is almost here.
I don't waste much time,I also head out.
"Valentina,"Alexa calls out to me.

"Hey, What's up,"I say.

"Can I have a moment, with you"she asks.

"Sure,"I say.

"Asher told me everything,"she starts."I'm sorry,I unknowingly put you through all that,I honestly didn't know about your feelings otherwise I would have never...",

"Alexa,it's fine the past is in the past now,I'm not holding any grudge, you and Asher are great together,"I say.

"Really?".

"Really,".I confirm.

"I also wanted to give you something for your birthday,"she says taking out something from her pocket.

"Here,"she says putting something in my hands.
I look at it and it's a cute locket.
I open it and there's a picture of us on one side and on the other side it's engraved.
Thanks for the best childhood memories.

"I love it,"I say,"thanks".

"You're welcome,have a splendid holiday,"she says hugging me.
I hug her back.

"See you soon,"she says pulling away from our hug.
I wave her off as she walks away.
Soon my cab arrives and I'm on my way to a place I haven't been in years.
Home.

I look at the locket again.

Maybe everything is working out after all.
