CHAPTER FORTY FOUR.

"Our?..."I ask looking around.

"Yes,ours,"he says putting his hand  around my waist.

"But how did you afford it,it must cost a fortune,"I ask.

"Well, my grandparents left some money,for me and Cassie before they passed away,Cassie invested hers in her business and I was going to use mine to buy a car, but this is worth it,"he says looking at me.

"Do your parents Know,Theo did you even tell them about this,it's such a huge step,"I remark.

"Well they do know,that I bought the penthouse,but I haven't yet told them about us moving in together,"he says.

"They need to know about your plans before I decide anything,"I reply.

"I know,..."

"I already have my house ..."

"I know you do...,"he starts,"but you're always so lonely and I hate that,look I'm not asking you to give up your house,you can always rent it out,or it can be your second home,I just want us to have our own space, something we can call your own,..."he speaks sincerely.

"But school resumes after two weeks,..."I say

"We'll move in after graduation,it's just three months away,and this is a perfect place,the recruitment agency I'm interested in is a few minutes drive from here and all the universities are within a fifteen minute radius,if you want to attend University,"he says and I smile at him.

"You really thought this through huh,"I ask with a small smile.

"So is that a yes?"Theo asks.

"On one condition,"I say"I want to contribute to this house as well ,so the money I'll get off of renting out my house we can use it ,to renovate this place and get our own furniture,"I say.
Theo looks at me for a while

"Deal,"he says and we both smile.

"Let's take a quick tour,"he says as he begins showing me around,it's nothing fancy but it definitely is a perfect place for us.

"And this can be our room,"Theo suggests as we enter the biggest bedroom in the house.

"Perfect,"I say walking around.

"Thank you,"I say hugging him,"you're the best"I add.

"I know "he says smirking and I laugh.

After another hour of just admiring the place we decide to finally leave.

"I think we should have a neutral themed room,"I say as Theo pulls out of the driveway.
The roads to the penthouse are surprisingly empty.

"Really,you don't want any bright colours"he asks me.

"I do but it's our room we have to meet half way,"I reply.

"Exactly,so we need to have a colour of your choice in there as well,"he says.

"Okay,fine,I'll look for bright colors that go well with neutral colors,"I say and he smiles.

"See,atleast we agree on something,"he says.

"Yah,"I say breaking into a smile.

"I was also...," "Val I...,"

We both laugh and at this.

"You go first,"I say recovering from my laugh.

"You sure,"he asks looking over at me.

"Yah,"I assure him.

"Well I wanted to tell you sometime back,but I never found the perfect moment...,can I pull over,"he asks and my curiosity peaks.

"Uhm sure,"I reply.

He quickly pulls over to the side of the road.

"Let's talk outside,"he says getting down,I follow suit.We walk over to the front of his car.

"You're making me really nervous,"I admit looking at him.

"Don't worry,it's nothing serious,"he says,"well at the beginning of the school year I applied to be recruited for S.I.T.A...,"

"SITA is literally the largest recruitment agency in the country,the chances of getting in are really slim...,"I breathe out.

He sighs,"I know,I just wanted to try so that I don't live in regret anyway I didn't get in...,"Theo says he's small smile dropping.

"I'm sorry,but you're still amazing and it's their loss if they don't want to realize that..,"I say pulling him into a hug.

"Yah...they put me on the waiting list but everyone knows no one gets past the waiting list,"he says letting me go.

"That really sucks,"I say holding his hand.

"Enough about me,what about you have you started applying,"Theo asks.

"Actually no with everything going on concerning my mom I haven't really thought about that ...but I'm pretty sure I'd like to go to university instead of a recruiting agency...,"I say honestly.

"Wherever you go I'm sure you'll do great,"he says smiling at me.

"Yah I'm just sad I won't be with my friends close by,Bree and Mal applied to Elusive recruitment agency and I'm pretty sure they'll get in ,it's like a three hour drive from here..."

"They'll always be your friends Val, distance will never be a barrier between you guys,..."he assures me.

"I know...it's just that sometimes I feel like I'm not taking my future seriously enough,we have less than three months of school and I have not even sent out one application,while almost everyone I know has already been accepted,I just feel like I'm not trying enough...,"I let out my frustration.

"Everyone is different Val,you don't have to rush into something you're not sure of,you're trying just as hard as everyone else and I'm proud of you for staying true to your path, whatever desicion you make,I'll support you 100%"he encourages me and I feel slightly better.

"Thanks,and you'll make a great mission leader one day,"I tell him.

I'm about to say something else when my phone dings with a text.
It's from Reign.

Hey,
So we managed to get hold of your mom,
Your plane leaves today at midnight,(it was the only one left).
You'll be back before the school calendar resumes.
I'll pick you at 11pm.

"Is everything okay,...,"

"I'm finally going to meet my mom,"I say jumping on Theo,"I'm going to see my mom".

"Valentine that's so great,...,"

"I know,I have to get packing,my plane leaves at midnight...,"I say letting him go.

"... midnight?"

"Yah, but don't worry,I'll come back for you,I always will,"I say placing a kiss on his cheek

"We should get you home then,you have to pack,"Theo says smiling excitedly."it's so good to see you happy,"he adds.

"I couldn't have done it without you,so thanks for everything,"I say.

"Don't thank me for anything,after all it was a favor I owed you,"he says and we both chuckle.

"That reminds me you still have two more request to fulfil,"I say playful.

"Anything for you,"he says and I smile.

"When I'm back I'll definitely use my favours but for now,let's go pack,"I see excitedly getting into the car.

Finally,I'll get all the answers to my questions.
