CHAPTER FORTY TWO.

VALENTINA.

"I can do this,"I whisper to myself as I offer the rest of the gang a thumbs up as they head to their respective spots.
This party is definitely high class and if it wasn't for this classy make up and expensive looking dress I'd definitely stick out like a sore thumb.
Most people are engaged in conversation,which only leaves a few people looking at me.
Men are throwing me flirty looks and the women nasty glares.
It's gonna be a long night.
I begin to scan around, trying to look for mr Ferera but from a distance everyone looks the same.
I decide to try searching from another angle.

"From the information I gathered it says Mr Ferera is yet to arrive,so just try to blend in for now, have some wine and relax,"Bree tells me through the earpiece.
I would reply but that's would draw too much attention to myself.

"Theo is coming your way with some non alcoholic wine,"Bree adds and I smile at the thought of seeing Theo again.
I look around and my smile widens when I see Theo coming towards me with a tray of wine glasses.
He sends me a small smile.

"Milady,"he says offering me a drink immediately he arrives.
I extend my hand to get myself a glass but a masculine hand beats me to it.

"Sorry miss, didn't see you there,"A very masculine voice says and I look up to see his face.
Oh he definitely saw me.
He looks like he is only a few years older than me.
His extra long hair is in a slick ponytail,and his brown eyes are staring directly at me.
His lips are in a loop sided smile.

"Here you go,"he says handing me another glass from the tray.
I look at Theo and I notice the glare he's sending to this mystery man.

"Thanks,"I say offering him a smile.

"Would you kindly excuse us,"The mystery man says to Theo and I can see Theo trying his best not to jump on this guy.

"Uhm actually I'd like a few napkins,do you mind getting them for me,"I say to Theo looking pleadingly at him to control his temper.

"Please,"I add in a more relaxed tone and I see Theo relax but his glare is still present.

"No problem ma'am,"he says looking at the mystery man before leaving.

"You look beautiful,"the man says immediately Theo vanishes from sight.

"Oh uh thanks,you look good too,"I reply taking a sip of my wine.

"Thanks,I'll be honest I don't think I've seen you here before are you a new recruit,"he asks looking at me.

Composure Val compusure.

"No I'm actually the assistant to the event planner of this party,uhm Nessa my name is Nessa,"I lie smoothly offering a smile.

"Really,but you look a little too young to be an assistant Nessa,"he asks accusingly.

"You know as they say,it's never too early to chase your dreams,"I reply with the utmost confidence.

"I suppose that's okay,anyway my name is Reign,"he says smiling at me.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Reign,"I reply sweetly and I hear Theo scoff through my ear piece.

"The pleasure's all mine,"reign says taking my left hand.

"He better not kiss your hand,"Theo whisper yells through the earpiece.

Reign plants a small kiss on my hand and I force a smile when he looks at me.

"ShitI can't watch this,"I hear Theo complain and I smile genuinely at his jealous attitude.

"Oh it looks like it's time for the first dance,wanna dance Nessa,"Reign asks.
