CHAPTER ONE

This is a story I hate,but I'll tell it anyway...

VALENTINA

"Val!"I hear the voice of one of my best friends voice beam  in the corridors of our Dormitory.
Maliha  runs towards me and her beautiful long brunnete hair is bouncing with every step.

"Maliha"I say attempting to hug her as she practically jumps on me .

"I missed you so so much"she says squeezing the air out of me as her strawberry shampoo fills my nostrils.

"I missed you too,Mal but if you don't let me go I might suffocate"I say and Mal laughs before releasing me.

"How was your holiday"I ask her as we begin to walk to our room.

"It was awesome,I just wish you were there too,my mom misses you and kept on asking about you"she says as  we enter our room.

"My holidays we're great,Lydia and the kids were awesome we had a blast"I say dropping on my bed.

"Where's Bree?"Mal asks sitting on her bed as well.
Mal and Bree have been my best friends since freshman year they are literally like my sister's at this point.

"Bree won't be in our room this year,she's the Head girl now she gets her own room but she said she'll be coming once she's settled in"I reply and I see Mal's smile drop.
"Will be fine Mal ,all three of us remember it's ..."

"Friends by chance, sister's by choice"Bree finishes my statement walking into the room.

"Bree!"Mal says going to hug Bree and I join the group hug.

"Oh guys I'm going to miss being in the same room"Bree says as we break our hug.

"Don't worry Bree,like I told Mal will be fine,besides we are in the same dorm just different rooms and we have classes together,well atleast self defense"I say to Bree.

"Will make it work"Bree says going to sit on Mal's bed.

"Besides guys this is our last year here,by the end of this year we are going to be Fully trained secret agents"I say going to sit on my bed and the girls cheer themselves on.

"Yah that's the spirit"Mal says before adding"have you guys decided your Final year Major?".

"Yah I have,I want to Major in Cyber Security"Bree says and I smile. I always knew Bree would major in Cyber Security she was a genius when it came to computers.

"What about you,Val?"

"I'm majoring in Combat and Weaponry"I reply.

"That's great girls,as for me I'm majoring in Electronics and IT"Mal says.
"I'm proud of you guys,we are gonna make great Agents one day"I say and they all agree.
We spend the next hour talking about random things and the holidays.
"I have to go girls, Headmaster Reynolds wants to see me,but I promise we  will have dinner together"Bree says getting up.
"See you  in the evening"Mal and I say simultaneously .
"Bye"Bree says walking out.
I begin to help Mal settle in.
"I wonder who's gonna take Bree's bed"I say putting Mal uniforms in our closet.
"I wonder too,anyway I ...wait do you here that,"Mal says furrowing her eyebrows.
I listen closely and it sounds like commotion coming from the common room.
"Let's go see what's happening"Mal says dragging me out of  our room.
We follow the crowd to the common room and we find people gathered.
"Gabriel what's happening,"I ask one of the guys I know.
"It's Asher he's fighting with Theo"he says and my eyes bulge why would Asher be fighting with our Head boy,.
"Why isn't anyone, stopping them"I ask making my way through the crowd.
I arrive at the the centre of the crowd and what I see horrifies me.
Asher is full on hitting Theo and no one is stopping them,so I do the most stupid thing possible.
"Asher stop it!"I say trying to break him away from Theo,
"Valentine stay out of this"Asher says going back to hit Theo.
"You're hurting him"I beg trying to break them apart  again.
"He deserves it "Asher says punching his face.
Everyone is just watching me like I'm some celeb instead of helping me.
"Asher stop,please you're gonna get in trouble"I continue begging .
"To hell with you Valentine,don't get involved in things you know nothing about "he yells turning to face me and I flinch.
I hear the crowd gasp.
"Mr Greene and Mr Mendez my office now"I hear the Headmaster say and the crowd begins to clear.
Some boys help Theo up and you can see he is hurt.
Asher looks at me one more time and his eyes are reflecting some sort of anger.
"I'm sorry for snapping at you Valentine"Asher says and turns to leave.
This isn't the Asher I knew,the Asher I knew would never hit someone,the Asher I knew was kind and his eyes carried compassion,the Asher I knew would never snap at me but who I am kidding,it's been three years since last I  saw that Asher,.It's been three years since our friendship ended.
A lot can change in three years especially Asher.
"Oh my goodness,Val are you alright"Bree says coming towards me"I was with Headmaster Reynolds when we heard the noise"she adds .
"It was bad,Asher was hitting Theo,and if it wasn't for Val,Theo would have been beaten to a pulp"Mal says to Bree.
"I'm fine,Bree really,"I say smiling at her.
"Alright then I have to go and check on Theo and Asher then  write a report,"Bree starts"You just leave for some minutes and someone is already in a fight"Bree mutters under her breath before walking away.
"C'mon let's go shower and prep for supper"Mal says and I smile response as we walk away.
Some how I can't stop thinking about Asher,why would he beat up Theo like that, but most importantly why so much anger  in his eyes.
