VALENTINA.

"It's a little bit boring,but it's okay I guess,"I say to Mal and Bree.
We are currently on a joint video call and they were asking me how it felt living here for the past week.
Well for the most part, stressful because of all the formalities I had to finish to legally obtain my inheritance.
It's been lonely,just me, myself and I.
Once in a while the memories come flooding back,I find myself drifting away in my thoughts.
I haven't had time to fully clean out the house except from my room, the kitchen and living room.

"I understand, but I'll be joining you soon,I'm coming home after next week,"Mal says and I smile.

"My dad's calling,i have to go I'll call you later,"Bree says before ending the call.

"I can't wait for you to get home,I miss you guys so much,"I say.

I talk with Mal for about an hour before we decide to call it a day.
I decide to go fix myself a simple snack, when my phone rings.
It's an unknown number.
I pick up.

"Hey Val,"a masculine voice says and I immediately recognize his voice.
It's Theo.

"How do you have my number,"I ask curiously.

"Bree,anyway I'm outside your house,"he replies.

"What do you mean you're outside my house?,".

"It means I am standing...,".

"I know what it means I meant why are you here,".
I leave my bedroom.

"Are you going to let me in or?",.

"Hold on I'll be there in a second,".I say getting down the stairs.
I rush over to the front door and open the door.
And I find him standing there leaning beside the doorframe, his phone pressed to his ears.

"I'm here,"I say through the phone sarcastically.

"Hey,"he says like this is the most natural thing in the world.

"Theo,I'm going to ask you this for the last time, what are you doing here,"I say folding my hands on my chest.

"I came to visit,"he says casually shrugging.

I stare at him for some seconds, before inviting him in.

"Nice house,"he comments sitting on one of the sofas.

"Thanks, want anything juice, water coffee...,"I say walking towards the kitchen.

"Coffee would be fine,"he says and he walks over to the kitchen island.

"So visiting huh?since when,"I ask putting water to boil on the cooker.

"Fine I'll be honest,I kinda missed hanging with you, that's why I'm here,"Theo says and I can't help but smile.

"And yet you never spoke to me for two months and some days,"I reply dryly heading over to the refrigerator.

"To be fair, you didn't speak to me,either,"Theo says as I take the milk carton box out of the refrigerator.

"In my defense, you seemed like you never wanted to talk to me again,"I say.
I walk over to the cabinet ,and take out two mugs.

"Val?,"Theo calls.

"Hmmm,"I reply setting the cups down on the counter.

"What I said that day I meant it,I began to genuinely like you, heck I still do,"Theo says looking at me intently.
If there's anything I've learnt from the past two months,it's too say what's on my mind, straight to the point.
