"Val you don't have to do this,"Theo says taking my hand in his.I smile at him and for a minute I want to change my mind but I can't atleast not right now.

"Theo I have to, there's no use ignoring something that is in the open,don't worry I'll be fine,"I say placing a small kiss on his knuckles.

"Can I atleast come with you,"He asks.

"I have to do this alone,I'll call you if I need help okay,"I say and he stares at me for sometime before nodding.

"I'll come pick you up soon,"he says letting go of my hands.

"Okay,bye,"I wave him off as he walks over to his car.

"Bye,"he says driving off.

I take a deep breath before entering the diner and I see Asher sitting by one of the tables.

"Hey,"I say approaching him.

"Oh hey, Valentine you look lovely,"he says getting up attempting to hug me but I block him.

"Just Incase you've forgotten this isn't a date,"I say sitting down.
His smile drops as he sits down as well.

"Before you say anything I just want to apologise for my behavior towards you that night I ...,"he starts.

"Why did you do it,"I ask cutting him off.

"Because I love you,"he says convincingly."and I know deep down you still love me,".

"I don't love you Theo,"I say in a firm tone,"atleast not anymore,".

"Val why you are saying these things you and I ...,".

"No,Our chapter closed way back,after everything you put me through you have no right to sit here and force your "love"on me,it's not fair,atleast not after everything you put me through,"I say.

"Valentine I never meant to hurt you...,"

"You did anyway,and what about poor Alexa what did she ever do to deserve this,she doesn't deserve all this,..."

"I'll talk to her,I'm sure she'll understand...,"he tries reasoning but this is getting ridiculous.

"Understand what,Asher there's nothing to understand,how can you be so selfish to break her heart just to complete yours,huh?I have moved on Asher,I'm finally happy,just leave me alone,"I say frustrated.

"Are you seriously going to choose that excuse of a person over me,"he yells.

"Mind how you talk about Theo,"I warn him.

"Or else what huh?Why don't you see Valentine you and I were meant to be,just give me a chance,"he says and I can't take this anymore,I get up and leave but I can hear him following me.

"What exactly do you want from me,"I ask turning to face him when we are outside.

"I want you to give me a chance please,"he says walking closer to me.

"Stay away from me,"I say pointing at him.

"Valentine,That Theo isn't worth it,he's a nobody, he'll just use you again...,".
I slap him before he even gets to finish the sentence.

"Valentina,did you just slap me for that fool,how dare you,"he says raising his hand to me but it's stopped mid way.
Did he just raise his hand to me.

"Don't you dare lay a single finger on my fiancee or else I'll break your bones,"Theo says harshly letting go of Asher's hand.
Asher looks angry right now and if looks could kill we'd both be dead by know.

"Fiancee,"Asher says laughing hysterically,"I thought you were better than this Val but I was wrong,you are just as stupid as he is,"Asher says and Theo lunges forward but I stop him.

"Theo,he's not worth it,"I say holding him back.

"This isn't over, Valentine,I'll settle the scores one way or the other,this I promise you,"he says with hatred dripping from every word,"you'll regret the day you chose him over me,".he adds walking past us.

"One more thing, Asher,"I say and he turns."it's Valentina to you,not Valentine,"I say and he smirks.

"Whatever,"he says before walking away.

"Are you alright,"Theo says holding my face.
I feel mentally exhausted to talk so I just hug him.

"You should have let me teach him a lesson,"he says kissing my head.

"He almost hit me,"I say in disbelief.

"As long as I am here Val, he'll never hurt you,"Theo says hugging me tighter.

"How did he?what happened?he used to be my best friend,"I mumble.

"It will be fine I promise,"he says letting me go and wiping my tears."stop crying,I don't want you crying on our first date,".

"Date?"I ask sniffing.

"Yah,I actually wanted to surprise, but anyway we are going on our actual first date,"he says and I smile.

I could really use a distraction right now.

"Thank you for everything,"I say.

"Let's get going then shall we,"he say taking my hand in his.

I'll settle the scores one way or the other,this I promise you.
