In a week, we have school and it will be David and I 1st year anniversary. During the last week, David and I hang out with Andre, Kendrah and Matthew.
"Hey Natalie, can I talk to you for a minute?"
"Sure, wassup?"
"Did David improve on your promise ring or something because that ring is huge?"
"You can say that, but no," I said as I smiled and looked at the ring.
"Are you ok?" Kendrah asked me smiling.
"I have to ask you something."
"What?"
"I'm engaged," I said smiling and showing her the ring.
"To whom?" she said smiling like she already knew who I was talking about.
"Who do you think?"
"Matthew?" she said, playing with me.
"No, David"
"I know," she said laughing, "and AWWW, but aren't you guys to young?"
"Yes"
"So......"
"He asked me because he wanted to know if I was willing to marry him. He said it was bothering him and that the month that we have spent together; it felt like, to him, that we were already married."
"AWWW," she said as I started blushing, "do ya'll parents know?"
"No, they might say we are too young."
"They might but you still have to tell them."
"I know and I will. Thank you Kendrah."
"You're welcome." Then I went back to David.
As it was getting late, David dropped me home. Before I left the car, I said,
"Baby, we have to tell our parents about our engagement."
"I know. When do you when to tell them?"
"Right know."
"Ok." Then David and I left the car and went inside.
"Hi mom and dad"
"Hi baby and hi David."
"Hi"
"Mom and Dad we have to tell you something," I said kind of with a sad face, as I put my hands in my pocket.
"Are you pregnant?" my mom asked me.
"No"
"Oh ok good," my mom said with relief.
"Can I ask you a question?"
"Sure"
"At what age can someone propose to someone?"
"I can say at any age above 14 but they can't get married until they are 18 or over."
"Oh ok."
"Why? Are you two planning on getting married because if you are, you guys are too young."
"Well it's something like that."
"Huh?"
"When we were in Paris, the night when me and David went out, he....he...." I said scared to tell them.
"He what?"
"I proposed to her," David blurted out. When I looked at my parents face, they were speechless but I can see they were also happy.
"Before you get mad, I want to tell you...." Before I could finish my sentence, my mom gave me a big hug.
"Wait....you're not mad?"
