Valentine's Day was on Sunday and I needed to get David, Matthew and James a gift. Today, afterschool I headed to the mall to see what I can get them. In the mall, I looked and I saw hearts that said "I love you" on it. IT was like a key chain. I had bought 3 and a card for each. Also I saw a bear that actually said, "I love you David" on it and I bought that too. After I was done, I left and went home. When I got home, I found David in the kitchen.
"Hey baby," I said giving him a peck on his lips as he was cooking.
"You went shopping?"
"Yup for Valentine's Day."
"What you get me?"
"I am not taking it ok."
"Ok when?"
"You will see."
"Ok. I'm going upstairs; call me when dinner is ready."
"Ok." I headed upstairs and hid the bags. Soon I was called back down for dinner.
Saturday came fast and David and I went to church. In church, the pastor was preaching about baptism. David seemed to be very interested in the sermon and very attentive. Soon the pastor was done preaching and he stepped down off the pulpit.
"Anyone that is willing and ready to give their lives to God, please come down here so I can pray for you." I watched the many souls willing to give their lives to God. David touched my arm and looked at me.
"I love you Natalie. Ruth 1: 16: Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God." As I heard the verse, I knew what David was trying to tell me. He was telling me that my God is his God now. He kissed me on my cheek and he got up. At first I didn't know where he was going, but then I saw him go up to the pastor because he wanted to be baptized. My heart was full of joy and tears ran down my face. I couldn't just sit here; I needed to stand by his side. I got up and stood next to him. He looked at me and hugged me. Then the pastor prayed for David and tears were still running down my face. I couldn't believe David was actually giving his life to God. After the prayer, we went back to our seats and waited until the whole service was done.
After church was done, David and I went home to eat. The ride home was kind of quiet. I just sat there smiling because I was the happiest woman on the earth. What woman wouldn't be happy that her true love was changing what he believed in for her?
"Why you smiling so much for?" David asked me.
"Because you are willing to give your life to God."
"I did it for you and for me," he said with a smile on his face as he touched my hand and squeezed it.
"You made me the happiest woman today."
"I'm glad I did and you will be happier tomorrow."
"Ok." Soon we arrived home. When we arrived at the house, I quickly got out the car and went to David's side. I quickly opened his door and pulled him out. When we were out the car, I shut the door quick and pushed him up against the car.
"Natalie what are......?" Before I let him finish, I pushed my hands on his chest and smashed my lips on his. He quickly responded and kissed me back. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me more into him. David stopped and looked at me.
"I love you," I said.
"I love you too." Then I took his hand and led him to the door. When we got to the door and I opened it, I closed it behind me. I held David's hand pulled him up the stairs to our room. When we got upstairs, I closed the door and push David on the bed. When he was on the bed, I climbed on top of him and kissed him again. Suddenly, David stopped and looked at me again.
