Chapter 28: The Accident

Today I was going home. The whole break I had a lot of freedom with Matthew and I did a lot of thinking. Everyday James and David said good morning and good night and it made me glad. I had packed up my stuff and got ready for Matthew to drop me home. When he was ready we headed out and headed to my house. On the road, Matthew and I were listening to music and singing. We had come to a red light and we stopped. When the light turned green, Matthew went. At the corner of my eye, I saw a car coming but I thought it was going to stop. As we were driving, I saw the car didn't stop and the next thing I know the car hit the car and I yelled,

"Matthew!!!!" Before I knew it, the car had turned over and I heard a faint voice say,

"Natalie are you ok?" Then I blacked out.

I tried to open my eyes but I couldn't. I tried to move and I couldn't. Suddenly, I saw someone walking towards to me. As the figure came closer to me, I realized it was David. He came up to me and said,

"I love you Natalie, you are my life and my soul."

"Do you David Jackson take Natalie Lewis to be your wife to have and to hold until death do you part?" A preacher said.

"I do."

"Do you Natalie Lewis take David Jackson to be your husband to have and to hold until death do you part?" I looked around and saw that I was at my wedding. I was in my wedding dress. All our family and friends were there. Suddenly, the preacher broke my thoughts and said,

"Natalie?"

"Huh what?" I said looking at him. I looked at David and he was waiting for my answer.

"What is your answer?"

"Oh I'm sorry. I do."

"Now I pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss your bride." David rolled up my vail and held the side of my face. He was taking his time, trying to make this moment last forever. David said, "Finally," and he kissed me. There was some much love he had put in that kiss and it was WAY more than it was before. Most kiss at weddings are just one simple kiss, but not with us; our kiss was long, nice and sweet. As we kept kissing, we heard our family and friends say, "OHHHHH" or "Do you guys want to eat each other?" or "You guys can do that one your honeymoon." Finally David stopped, gave me one last kiss and he looked at everyone as they clapped. Suddenly, I was awaken out of my dream and I heard a familiar voice. It said,

"Hey David......something happened............I'm ok but Natalie's not...........she is injured badly.........no right now she's not up..........ok see you soon." I wanted to move and tell whoever it was that I was up, but I couldn't move.

Maybe about half an hour later, I heard a door open and whoever it was said, "Natalie!" I knew it had to be David. I felt someone hold my hand with their head down and I heard crying. I felt like crying too but I couldn't.

"How long has she been out?"

"A day."

"A day? How come you didn't call me sooner?" I've been out for a day! How come I haven't woken up yet?

"I couldn't because I was get test done."

"Ok. Ummm do you mid giving us a minute?"

"Of course."

"Thank you." Then I heard the door open and close back.

"Natalie, baby, please wake up. I need you, the not talking to you during the break is the hardest thing that I have ever done. I need you in my life; you ate my life. I just wish it was me and not you. I need you by my side through thick and thin. I want to marry you. I want to hold you in my arms all night. I want to live in my own home with you. I want to spoil you even though you don't want to. I want to laugh and talk with you. I want to take care of you. I want to have our twins, Kendrah and Matthew. I want to make love with you and go on and on for hours even all night. I need you, please wake up, I need you," he said crying more. I really wanted to move, comfort and cry with David but I couldn't. I started praying, asking God to help me move and open my eyes so I can see my boyfriend.
