It's been a month now and David and I have been keeping us a secret, but one day he just couldn't take it anymore. On Wednesday, October 10th, as I met up with David after Geometry class and started walking down the hall, we saw Brittany. While we walked down the hall, David was about to put his arm around me when I stepped away. I asked him,
"What are you doing?"
"I was about to put my arm around you."
"I know but Brittany is behind us and she still doesn't know we are going out."
"I know, but it's bothering me. You are here and I can't even get to put my arms around my girl in school. It's wrong that people don't know that you're my girlfriend and I can't take it anymore, they need to know."
"I'm sorry Baby, but....." Before I could finish my sentence, David started walking towards me. Suddenly my back hit the lockers, David looked at me and said, "I can't take it anymore, they need to know," in a soft charming voice. He held my head as he leaned forward and he kissed me. When Brittany saw us, I heard her yelling, "SO YOU DUMP ME AND GO OUT WITH A FRESHMAN!!!!" David heard her but didn't pay her any mind and keep kissing me. Then David put his hands on the side of my face and said to me,
"I love you and I don't want us to be a secret anymore."
"I love you too," I said. Then David gave me one last kiss and we walked to lunch. While we were walking to lunch, we could still hear Brittany yelling down the hall but we just kept on walking.
When we got to the cafeteria, we both got a seat with Kendrah. As we sat down, Brittany came in and saw us sitting together. When she got her lunch, she came over to our table. She came up to me and dropped her food on my head and said, "That's what you get for stealing my boyfriend." I got so mad that I looked at David and said, "I told this would happen." Then I got up, pushed her so hard that she fell very hard on the floor. Everyone saw and started laughing. I ran out the cafeteria and went to the bathroom crying. When David saw what happened, he told Kendrah to go check up on me. As Kendrah ran out the cafeteria, David stood over Brittany and said,
"She didn't steal me from you, I chose her over you." Then he ran out the cafeteria and started walking back and forth outside the girls' bathroom.
As Kendrah walked out the bathroom, David was startled and asked her,
"How is she?"
"She's ok. She's still crying. Also she said she knew this was going to happen."
"This is entirely my fault. If I had listened to her none of this would happened."
"She knew you were going to say that so she said that it's not entirely your fault, it's also her fault." Then I walked out the bathroom fixing my hair. When David saw me, he came up to me and said,
"Are you ok?"
"I'm gonna go back inside and leave ya'll to talk," Kendrah said as she walked away.
"Yea, I am," I told David.
"Also I'm so so SO sorry about everything. I know what you're going to say but it is my fault. I'm sorry," he said as he kissed my head.
"It's ok."
"I'ma make it up to you."
"David you don't have to do that."
"I know but I want to. How about I take you to the movies and you can invite whoever you want."
"I can. So can I invite Kendrah?"
"Yea, if it's ok with her."
"Ok."
