"No," Marc shook his head, "family is forever. I was just saying that—"
"It doesn't matter," she shook her head, "may I inquire how you know one another?"
"Quit being so formal, Alina," Marc chuckled. "We are friends, and you aren't working right now, relax."
"Neříkej mi, abych se uklidnil nebo co mám dělat, marcu. Pracuji. (Don't tell me to relax or what to do, Marc. I am working)." She glared at him.
"What language is that?" Victor asked.
"Czech," Marc smirked. "Alina knows multiple languages. It is fascinating listening to her talk in all of them. It's really funny hearing her and Raven go at it. I think he instigates her just for the fun of it at times. He loves it when she mixes up the languages."
Alina turned to Victor, "so is it safe to assume that you and Mr. Taylor overheard my conversation last month and recognized Marc and Raven's voices, Sir?" She asked trying to get things under control.
"Yes," Victor admitted. "I had Owen reach out since I was busy but I was curious to know why I never knew that one of my best friends had a younger sister and I thought it would be nice for you to see them since you said it had been a couple of years since you had seen them."
"My father married her mother before I met any of you," Marc explained. "They were married for five years before they got divorced. Let's see, I'm five years older than her and they divorced a year before I met any of you and I met you when I was what sixteen or seventeen? Anyway," he waved his hand casually, "yeah, even after the divorce I made sure to stay in contact with her and be there for her if she needed anything. She knows about the Academy so you don't have to worry about that. It would be nice to hang out for a bit and catch up, Beautiful," he said watching her closely.
"Да, Котенок, иди потусуйся с нами. Я скучала по тебе и по нашим объятиям. Da, Kotenok, idi potusuysya s nami. YA skuchala po tebe i po nashim obʺyatiyam. (Yes, Kitten, come hang out with us. I missed you and our cuddles.)"
"Хватит шутить, Евгений. Khvatit shutitʹ, Yevgeniy. (Quit being ridiculous, Yevgeny,)" she rolled her eyes and huffed in annoyance.
"You know, I don't think I have ever seen anyone call Raven by his first name and he allow it," Kota said and Corey smirked.
"He only allows Alina," Corey nodded.
"Da," Raven smirked. "Kitten only one."
"Перестань называть меня так, или ты пожалеешь об этом. Ты забыл, что случилось в прошлый раз, когда ты меня разозлил, Евгений Дмитрий Равеншталь? Перестань называть меня так. Я НЕ твой котенок». Perestanʹ nazyvatʹ menya tak, ili ty pozhaleyeshʹ ob etom. Ty zabyl, chto sluchilosʹ v proshlyy raz, kogda ty menya razozlil, Yevgeniy Dmitriy Ravenshtalʹ? Perestanʹ nazyvatʹ menya tak. YA NE tvoy kotenok». (Quit calling me that or you will regret it. Did you forget what happened last time you pissed me off, Yevgeny Dimitri Ravenstahl? Quit calling me that. I am NOT your kitten." She said through clenched teeth while she gripped her shirt.
"Oh shit," Gabe chuckled, "did you know his middle name was Dimitri?"
"Shut it Gabe," Raven growled.
"What's with the attitude?" Nathan asked. "I thought she would have been excited to see everyone?"
"It's nothing," Marc chuckled. "She's just trying to remain professional and is torn because we are here and yet you are employing her. It's understandable, don't worry about it. "
"Ali?" Melisma asked and Alina turned to her.
"Come on, Melisma," she smiled fondly and held her hand out. "Why don't we let your daddies visit their friends?"
"Take the day off, Alina," Victor shook his head. "Spend time with your brothers. I don't have anything for today, Owen made sure so we could spend time together as well."
"And Miss Smith?" Alina asked and he rolled his eyes.
"She can just get over it."
"Come on Alina," Marc smirked standing up and wrapping his arm around her shoulders. "Let's go get some dinner."
She huffed in annoyance, "very well, Brother."
"This again, Beautiful?" He chuckled, "Listen," he shook his head. "Just call me Marc."
"Then quit calling me nicknames," she retorted making everyone laugh as they walked out the door.
Once they got outside, Victor looked out the window and chuckled as they watched her jump into Marc's arms and hug him tightly while he swung her around. Raven, Corey, Brandon, and Axel each hugged her tightly before Marc opened the car door and she got in.
"Completely different person," Owen shook his head as the whole team watched. "Interesting."
