"Alina," Marc warned when she stood and turned seeing the group of men watching her.
"Excuse me while I step outside, please," she said as she placed the phone to her chest. "I'll be right back, okay?" she asked Melisma who nodded then went back to painting. "Excuse me," she said as she walked past the group then went outside.
"I go outside," Raven said heading to leave the room.
"Don't," Marc and Corey said at the same time.
"What?" he growled turning to look at them.
"We have to trust her," Marc sighed. "We can't overstep Raven, especially right now."
Raven growled making Melisma giggle. "That funny?" he asked.
"Yep," She giggled. "You silly ole bear."
"Alright, now where were we?" Alina asked as she walked back into the room sliding the phone into her pocket. "Oh yeah, we were making purple, weren't we?"
"Yep," Melisma beamed as Alina sat back at the table and picked up her paintbrush. "Phone?"
"Yeah, Beautiful, what about your phone call?" Marc asked.
"It is nothing you have to worry your pretty little head about," Alina giggled as she tapped the paintbrush on Melisma's nose getting purple paint on it.
"You silly," Melisma giggled as she swiped blue on Alina's cheek.
"Oh now you did it," Alina laughed as she dipped her finger into the red making Melisma squeal which set Max off barking. Melisma put her hand in the green making Alina laugh even harder.
"Enough you two," Owen said forcing back a smile as Melisma launched herself into Melisma's area smearing paint all over Alina who went to catch her getting paint on Melisma's clothes and hair.
"Oh you little sneak!" Alina laughed.
"Yep, me ninja!" Melisma laughed trying to get Alina's face while Max barked excitedly around them.
"Alright, alright," Corey laughed as he picked up Melisma from on top of Alina who was laying on the ground. "Look at you."
"I'm good," Alina shook her head as Luke held his hand out to help her up. "Come on, let's go get cleaned up, Little One."
Corey sat her down and she walked over to Owen, "Daddy?"
"Yes, Little One?" Owen said crouching down to her eye level.
"Love you," she smiled as she smeared paint on his cheek. "Save me Ali!" She burst out laughing as she took off running to Alina.
"Yeah, good idea," Alina laughed as she scooped her up and took off running out of the room. "Shhhhh," She giggled as she ran down the hall away from all the laughter in the living room.
"Alina!" multiple voices shouted as she pressed Melisma's face into her chest to muffle her giggles.
"Shhh, you're going to get us caught," she whispered as she spotted an open window. "Quickly, go, quickly," she forced back a giggle as she helped Melisma climb through the window before climbing out herself. "Go, go, go!"
Melisma giggled as they took off for the gardens. "I swear when we find you two!" Nathan's voice surrounded them as Alina scooped Melisma up and started running faster.
"We are in so much trouble," Alina giggled softly as she took a sharp turn then another.
"Dis fun," Melisma giggled. "Daddy wook pretty wif paint."
"He did but shhhh, we need to be quiet," Alina whispered as she took another turn and entered the trees. Melisma giggled but hid her face into Alina's chest as Alina tried to gather where she was as she quickly walked while trying to be as quiet as possible.
"Where oh where are our two girls?" Axel asked teasingly making Alina put her hand over her mouth as she pressed up against a large tree. She held a finger to her mouth and Melisma nodded.
"Kitten..." Raven called out chuckling darkly causing shivers to go down Alina's arms.
"THEY AREN'T IN THE GARDEN!" Luke called out in the distance.
"Search the trees," Marc called out. "They are hiding somewhere."
"Be careful climbing the trees, Lucian!" North called out.
Pain shot through Alina's hand and up her arm as she shifted Melisma but she forced herself not to focus on her hand and cast at the moment. They were being hunted and she needed to get them out of there somehow. Taking a quick glance around she spotted them further in the distance so she pushed off the tree and took off towards the field and pond.
"Damn it, Alina!" Marc burst out laughing spotting her running. "Luke, the pond!"
"On it!" Luke shouted as he took off running.
Melisma burst out laughing then screamed when Alina gasped as hands suddenly wrapped around her waist and spun her. "Go Melisma, run!" Alina shouted laughing as she let go of the little girl who took off running while laughing.
"Not so fast!" Axel laughed as he scooped up the little girl who screamed in excitement.
Luke quickly caught Alina's move to kick him in the shins and tripped her but braced so she wouldn't drop to the ground. He rolled her over and straddled her while pinning her arms keeping her cast in mind while smirking, "Caught you, Cupcake."
