"What?" Everyone asked shocked.
"Come on Little One," Silas said standing and picking up Melisma, "let's go get everyone drinks and napkins. I need some crushed red pepper for my pizza." He took her into the kitchen so she wouldn't hear what was about to go on. He could still hear so he wouldn't be left out of the loop.
"You gave our daughter information that hitman are after YOU for?" Owen asked in disbelief as he stood up in shock. "Are you serious?"
"Yeah," she nodded calmly, "because I knew they would come after ME! Think about it, they would never think I would give something so vital to a three-year-old. Only someone insane would give a toddler something so dangerous. Would you?"
Owen just stared at her while Victor sighed, "She has a point, Owen."
"What in the hell were you thinking?" North asked glaring at her.
She glared back, "I was thinking about saving my family's lives and yours, if you must know Mr. Taylor."
"What?" Gabe asked confused making her sigh and roll her eyes.
"They don't think like you and me, Beautiful," Marc gently scolded.
"And I thought you said they were Academy?" She asked shocked. "I'm NOT Academy, how can they not get this?"
"We ARE Academy," North fumed.
"Then you your brain," She scoffed. "If you have something as serious as the black book of mob leaders and all their partners, the last place you would ever think to hide it is in the possession of a three-year-old. Especially one who has nine fathers and five uncles and one of them being the prince of the Russian Mafia King and Tzar." She sighed getting tired, "The moment I found out you knew my brother, I knew it was time for me to finally exact revenge on our parents and uncle for everything they did to us. I knew there was a very good chance they would kill me one way or another once they found out but I also knew that if they did my brothers would destroy them and you would help as well as Yevgeny's family. I brought Melisma here because I knew this was the only place that keep her safe because Marc was the only one who knew of this place, he would get her back to you before looking for me again and I was right. Melisma understood that bad people were after me and I would do anything I could to keep her safe. I made her promise that she wouldn't leave this house until Marc or her daddies came here. I told her that if the bad men got me, she had to do something very important."
"Here Daddies," Melisma said as she came back with a pile of napkins and started handing them out.
"Thank you, Sweet Pea," Alina smiled as she took the napkin. "Hey, do you remember the promise I made with you?"
"Yep," She beamed.
"Will you go get it please? Tell Daddies our promise."
"Otay," She giggled as she ran over to the couch and grabbed her favorite teddy bear. She walked over to Victor and climbed into his lap. "Miss Ali getted hurt I gib Mart my teddy tell Mart Miss Ali give prezzie in teddy for all famy." She climbed out of Victor's lap and came over to Marc.
Marc took the teddy bear from Melisma and looked over the well worn bear. Finding the hidden zipper he unzipped it and pulled out the small jump drive. He zipped it back up and gave it back to her. "Thank you, Melisma." She beamed and raced back to Victor.
"I had confidence that if needed she would give Marc the bear and while he would be confused he would eventually find it then give it to Corey who would try to see what was on it. Once he cracked the code, he would realize what was on it and give it to Yevgeny who would immediately contact his father and the family would go to Russia to hand it to him in person. Thus, keeping my brothers and your family safe."
"Ex step brother," Marc corrected causing her to roll her eyes.
"You are something else, Babe," Brandon chuckled. "You know that?"
She shrugged, "Yeah I know, but it's not my fault all of you drilled it into my head to think differently than regular people. I blame all of you, it's your fault."
Marc chuckled, "I'm okay with that. Now let's get you ready for bed, you're tired, you're doing it again."
"Am not," She pouted as she pulled her fingers away from his braided leather bracelet.
He kissed the back of her head making her glare at him, "Doll, you always run your fingers over our bracelets when you are tired," Axel chuckled. "When are you going to accept the fact that we know you better than you know yourself?"
She glared at him and pouted, "Do not."
"Read me Miss Ali?" Melisma asked and Ali smiled.
"Of course," she looked at Marc who nodded. He picked her up and carried her to her room with Melisma following. He handed her one of the Shel Silverstein books and left as Melisma held the book open for Alina.
"I can't believe," North shook his head.
"I can," Silas shrugged, "She thought like Academy, Marc and everyone taught her well. And she's right, we would have done exactly like she planned."
"You can crash here," Marc said as he came back into the room, "They were both fighting sleep so I bet they will crash soon."
"They already have," Corey chuckled as he turned on the TV and switched modes over to the cameras so they could see Melisma curled up against Alina who had a protective hold on her.
Marc watched making Sean chuckle, "You're going to start pushing it aren't you?"
He turned to look at him with a curious look, "Are you?"
