"How was your day sweetie?" Her mother calls calmly from the kitchen.

"It was good I hung out with A-Lan at the town center."

"That's nice. I'm making dinner go wash up." The woman hums to her daughter as she places the two plates on the table.

The girl let's out a sigh she didn't know she was holding grateful that her mother was unaware of the events that took place earlier that day.

------

It's been two days from when A-Lora first went out and hung the posters. Since then, she's been out once yesterday to hang up more posters, but was quick to stop when they began to draw more attention.

Today, the girl planned on going out to hang more posters to replace the ones that the patrol is constantly taking down and to make sure that people are still receiving the message.

As far as she can tell not much has changed since she put up the posters. There have been a few more patrol arrest in the town center, so she had hope. Today A-Lora plans on doing her routine poster check up while trying to direct more people to them.

The girl knew that her plan was risky but she was willing to risk it all if it meant saving her planet.

After having breakfast and saying goodbye to her mother, who left to go fulfill Her counsel duties, A-Lora quickly ran upstairs to get ready for her eventful day.

While turning her emotion inhibitors off, she grabs more copies of the posters she made and stuffs them in her silver bag quickly running out the door towards the town center.

------

It was still pretty early in the morning when the girl arrived to the center, there still weren't many people. She used this to her advantage knowing that since it's early, patrol should not be around for a couple of hours.

As she began hanging the posters, she felt a slight tug on her shirt and glanced down to see a small alien girl maybe 700 (she's abt 7 in human years) years give or take. "Miss what are you doing?"

A-Lora crouches down, now eye level with the young alien. "Hi sweetie. I'm trying to help save our planet." The young alien tilts her head in confusion, "What's wrong with our planet?"

Guilt begins to build up in her chest.
"Well uh you see, our planet is sick and I'm putting up these posters so that others know too that it's sick. But it will- it will uh."

A-Lora clears her throat as she reaches for the young girls hand, "Sorry, the posters will also tell others how they can help out the planet." She takes a poster out of her bag, "See."

The young alien looks at the poster and smiles, "You're gonna help our planet. Mom. Mom. Look!" The girl takes the poster running of to show her mother.

Smiling to herself, A-Lora gets back to work hanging up more posters. About half and hour later, the girl steps back and smiles at her work. Feeling overwhelmed with joy, she goes to find a seat to observe everyone from afar. As she goes to take a seat at one of the benches, she finds herself bumping into someone.

As she turns around, looking up to she the alien she bumped into, she makes eye contact with the patrol officer. "You are in big trouble young girl." In that moment, she felt her heart shatter.

------

That very same day, A-Lora found out that having a parent on the council sure had it's perks. Instead of being brought to their building, she was brought home as the patrol officer knew her mother was a council member and could handle the situation.

Pulling up to her house, A-Lora gets ready to leave the patrol hover. "Now A-Lora, I've already spoken with your mother so don't try to snake your way out of this. You've caused a lot of commotion with those posters."

Sighing the girls nods at the patrol unable to meet his eyes. She gets out of the hover and makes her way to her front door.

Her heat begins to race as her stomach did flips. Her hands are sweating as she prepares to step into her house. Part of A-Lora hoped that her mother wasn't home but she knew better then to think that way.

"What did you think you were doing?"
The woman harshly questions as soon as the young girl steps inside.

"Do you know what you've done? What you've risked?" A-Lora stands frozen unsure of how to respond as her mother makes her way towards her.

"You do understand that you have to have a meeting with the council now right? Your not even supposed to know what's going on, we haven't even made an official statement to all the public." The woman was now near the front door, meer inches from her daughters face.

She began to feel the tension rise as her daughter stood silently starting at the floor. "Say something!"

"Anything." She whispered softly. A-Lora glanced up at her mother.

"I'm sorry mom. I don't understand what I'm feeling right now. I don't even know what to say. Were never aloud to have emotions on and whatever this is I'm feeling, I don't like it."

Now unsatisfied, her mother makes her way to the couch and sits letting out a frustrated sigh. "A-Lora, how could you go behind my back like this? On top of all that, you're doing all this with your emotions on? We've talked about this too many times."

A-Lora glances back at the floor as her eyes begin to water.

"You've disrupted the peace. Since your first poster stunt we've had so many council meeting's and it's becoming hard to cover them up."

A bubble began to form in A-Lora's throat as more years began to fall. "Mom I-" She cleared her throat "I'm sorry. I really am. But no one's making a movie to help our planet. I'm not the only one who knows, all of us aliens are smart. If I figured it out who knows how many others have.

A-Lora began to wipe the tears from her face as she made her way over to her mother. "I know you said that- that the council would handle everything but I know it's not true."

"A-Lora sweetie, come sit." Hesitant, A-Lora takes a seat next to her mother. Her voice begins to shake, "Mom, you can help me right?"

Her mother looks away from her daughter almost guilty. "Honey, I can only cover so much. I don't think I will be able to help you this time."

Thank you so much for all the views and support on my first story!!

Also these upcoming chapters have been hard for me to write considering that the Aliens are not supposed to have emotions so if they seem weird or rushed, I apologize.

Thanks for reading <3
