Chapter 8

The next morning, A-Lora woke up to an empty house. She makes her way to the kitchen to find a note on the refrigerator from Amelia.

"Good morning Alora, I just wanted to let you know that I will be out for the day. I have to take care of some things whilst getting you registered so you can start school soon. Feel free to explore the town and if you have any items you need to bring please do so. Your room is just down the hall to the left it's empty for now but you will be able to decorate it soon. I also have a small backyard with decent space, I don't go back there often so feel free to leave any of your items outside as well. Also we do use money here in Seabrook please don't steal I left some cash for you on the counter. Have a good day sweetie I'll be back soon.

A-Lora smiled as she read the letter, looking over at the way her name would be spelled on earth.

As she continued to read she paused at the mentioning of a backyard. A-Lora was a bit confused as to it to why Amelia mentioned it but was grateful nonetheless as she'd be able to move her shuttle to the yard.

As she finished the letter A-Lora was glad to find out that humans do have a finical system. She walks over the counter and grabs the cash which amounted to $50.

At that, A-Lora makes her way out of the house and to the forest inorder to prepare for moving her shuttle.

Making her way though the forest, A-Lora's heart rate skyrockets. She begins to feel paranoid as if she was being watched or followed.

As the leaves crunch beneath her, her eyes dart around in a panic sate that is until she spots the opening where her shuttle landed.

Using her Alien band, A-Lora makes the shuttle visible. "Oh how I've missed you." A-Lora makes her way into the shuttle.

"Let's see I have to move you but I need you to follow me as I don't think I'll be able to fly." A-Lora reaches out to the controls setting it so that it will hover and follow her as she walks.

She makes her way out of the shuttle while setting it back to invisible.

As A-Lora makes her way back towards the small town her shuttle following in suit, she looks down at her clothes fully aware that she will need to buy more.

After some time, A-Lora manages to make her way back to Amelia's house. She walks along the side of the house, making her way to backyard.

Now in the yard, confident that no eyes are on her, A-Lora goes into her Alien band and has the shuttle come to a land. She keeps it set to invisible so that Amelia doesn't find it back here.

"Now that this is complete, I've got to go and buy new clothes."

A-Lora than makes her way to the front of the house closing the backyard door behind her. She goes into the house to check the time.

"It's only mid-day? I feel like I've been gone for years " A-Lora cries out to herself as she makes her way closer to the clock.

"I think I should be able to scan this and then I'll always have a clock with me."

A-Lora stands back as she lets her Alien band scan the clock. A holographic image of the clock appears and A-Lora smiles to herself satisfied.

"Now I need to figure out where the shopping center is"

A-Lora found herself walking around the town for quite sometime, that is until she came across a street filled with people dressed in bright rays of blue and pink carrying bags of all sorts and sizes.

The shopping mall must be down there. A-Lora thought to herself as she makes her way down the street entering the first building she saw with double doors.

A-Lora enters the building that seemed to be much larger on the outside. It was filled with clothing on all kinds of racks.

The young girl takes in the sight in front of her amazed by how creative earth is.

She then makes her way over to the dress section looking for something in a lighter shade of blue.

As A-Lora continues looking through the dresses following one around on the spinning rack, she bumps into someone knocking their items onto the floor.

"Oh my apologies. Are you alright?" A-Lora quickly apologizes picking up the items for the girl.

"That's alright. I'm okay." The blond girl smiles at A-Lora talking back her items.

"I'm Addison. Are you new in town." The blond now known as Addison hold her hand out to A-Lora.

"Uhh yes." The girls call out as she begins to fidgit with her braids. "I am uh from out of town. I am currently residing with my grandmother."

Addison smiles, "Well it's great to meet you Alora. I was just shopping for new school clothes. Do you want to join me?"

A wide smile plays across A-Lora's face glad to have met another kind person. "That sounds fun. Could you help me find new clothes. I'm not quite sure what to buy."

"Of course!" Addison beams brightly. As she takes A-Lora's hand, "Here follow me."

Addison drags A-Lora over to the skirts and hands her a light blue skirt with a thin white rim around the top and bottom of the skirt. "Here try this on I think it will suit you perfectly."

A-Lora nods at the girls words. "Thank you Addison." Addison smiles, "It's no problem- oh! I almost forgot.'

The blond looks through the few tops she was holding onto picking out a white short sleeve top to handing it to A-Lora. "Here this top would go great with the skirt. Then we can find a jacket and accessories to add."

A-Lora takes the top from Addison, "Thank you so much. I really appreciate your help. This is my first time doing something like this."

"We'll I'm glad I could have been of any help." Addison then links arms with A-Lora the two making their way over to the fitting room so that A-Lora could try on the outfit.

That's same day, A-Lora gets home around six pm. She had spent the rest of her day shopping with her new found friend Addison then getting ice cream after.

A-Lora was glad to have found a friend in Addison, it has been hard for her to adjust to living on a new planet knowing absolutely no one.

As A-Lora walks though the front doors of Ameila's house she is met by gadget who was rushing to the door on her small legs having missed the young Alien who was out all day.

"Aww we'll hello, I've missed you to gadget." A-Lora crouch's down patting the older dog on the head.

"Welcome back sweetie, how was your day." A-Lora looks up to find Ameila's walking out of the kitchen with an apron on.

"It was really good. I made a new friend. And look, I got new clothes." A-Lora stands up spinning in a circle, showings Ameila's one of the many outfits she'd bought.

"Oh I see. I glad you had a great time. I also have good news."

Amelia makes her way closer to A-Lora talking off her apron. "I was able to get you registered and you'll be able to start school in three weeks.

A-Lora sends a small smile to Amelia worried about how school would go.

I don't have much to say this time but I hope you all are enjoying the story so far chapter 10 will mark the official start of the movie!! Chapter 9 sould be up this Friday or Saturday :))
