Silence.
That was the only thing that rung throughout the house.
A-Lora's mother moved to the kitchen. She sat with her head in-between her hands while A-Lora stayed in her spot on the couch disconnected from everything around her.
Her heart rate increased. Her hands began to sweat. Her body shook uncontrollably as her mind ran a million miles per hour. She began to ask herself so many questions. Terrified of what the council may have in store for her.
"I- I can't." The young Alien quitely stutters out as she goes to turn her emotion inhibitors on, in record speed.
Silence.
That was all she could hear now. Her mother was slient. Her mind was slient. The house was slient.
Unsure of what to do, she walks up to her mother, taking a seat in front of her at the table. "Mom." She calls out quitely.
"Are we going to be okay?" Her mother sighs as she looks her daughter in the eyes. "Sweetie, I'm not sure."
------
It's been there days since A-Lora was caught by the patrol. Her scheduled council meeting would be later on that very day. Since she has a council meeting, she's been contained in her house. A-Li had came by yesterday but was quickly turned away by A-Lora's mother with some made up excuse.
"A-Lora I'll be heading out now. I will see you during the meeting later on. A patrol will come by to drop you off so be ready." Her mother shouts as she gets ready to leave for the day.
A-Lora signs as she falls back into her bed. "There is nothing to do. Would this be the equivalent to boredom? I hope not."
She sits up quickly as she begins to wonder about how the council meeting will go. "I hope I won't face a huge punishment. I did break some rules but it was for a good cause."
The bluenett let's out yet another sigh as she continues to lounge around for the next couple of hours.
After sometime, a loud knock sounds throughout the quiet house from downstairs. The girl begins to slowly make her way downstairs. As she opens the door, she comes face to face with her friend.
"A-Lan. What are you doing here?" A-Lora quickly glances around before pulling her friend into the house.
"You can't be here. You have to leave now." A-Lan frowns slightly, "A-Lora, what is going on. I have not seen you in days and the others are starting to become curious as to where you have went."
The girls sigh debating if she should tell him the truth. "Look A-Lan, I've gotten myself into trouble."
"Trouble. What kind of trouble A-Lora?" She pauses for a moment observing him. "You know what's wrong with our planet right?"
A-Lan nods slowly not sure how this correlates with A-Lora being in trouble. "Well yes, any Alien with a brain could imeadeatly figure out what's wrong. But what does that have to do with this?"
The girl sighs as she begins to stare at the floor finding it to be interesting.
"Well for starters, I turned my emotion inhibitors off."A-Lan gasps, "Is that what you got in trouble for?" Shaking her head the girl continues on, "Not exactly. I have turned them off a couple of times, before but it's usually just at home. Mom always finds out when I do telling me I shouldn't."
A-Lora looks A-Lan in the eye as she continues, "I disrupted peace."
A-Lan nods slowly, encouraging her to continue. "My mom recently told me that the council has been dealing with more Aliens. They've been acting out due to the posters I've put up."
