Im also so sorry I haven't updated in a while 😭 I've been really busy with school and I haven't felt like writing.

Hopefully this weekend I'll be able to put out two more chapters since I don't have school Monday.

Nine weeks later

A-Lora jolts awake as her shuttle crashes into a forest. "Huh? What's happening?" The young girl looks around at the new environment taking in all of the tall trees around her.

As it hits her that she's landed, she begins to shake her fist with excitement. "Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness- I can't- I finally landed."

Just as quick as her excitement came, it was just as fast to leave. The girl began to think about her mother and how she must be feeling. It's been sometime since she had left and all she could do was worry about her mother.

A-Lora let's out a small sigh, trying her best to stay happy. "I miss mom. But at least I won't be alone anymore. I wonder what planet this is."

The girl begins to research the planet, trying her best to distract herself. After a couple of minutes of research, the girl quickly learns that she is on planet earth inhabited by humans.

"Interesting. I wonder if my etire will suit the humans." A-Lora then exits her shuttle and sets it to invisible so that it's not easily located.

Now with a newfound motivation, A-Lora then begins her hike through the forest in search of life.

After walking for about 20 minutes, the young Alien begins to hear the sounds of life. As she gets closer to the small town, her heart rate increases. Her thoughts become flooded with what if's. What if she didn't fit in? What if the people chased her away?

As A-Lora fell deeper and deeper into her mind, tears began to prick at her eyes. Her hands started shaking as her vision blurred. The young girl stumbled back as she fell onto a nearby tree.

The young girl tried to call out for help but as she spoke no words where able to form. Her heart rate increased as she fell to her knees. All she could do was cry hoping that whatever it was she was experiencing would pass soon.

As the girl sat in a state of panic, she heard a small rustling sound a few feet in front of her. Looking up from her panicked state, A-Lora spots a tiny squirrel coming towards her carrying a small nut.

"Hi little guy." She croak's out. Back on her home planet, they didn't have animals so see the squirrel for the first time sparked something in her. "You're so cute." As A-Lora tried to woo the squirrel, she wiped her tears as it came closer.

"Aww I've never seen a squirrel before. Or are you a chipmunk? Sorry buddy my animal research is a little dusty." A-Lora laughed to herself as she picked up the squirrel completely forgetting about her worries.

"I have to go exploring now. Do you want to come with me?" A-Lora set's the squirrel down as he looks at her before running off into the woods. "Bye buddy." She calls after the squirrel before refocusing on her mission at hand.

The young girl then gets back up making her way towards what she could only assume we're people.

As A-Lora reaches the town, she hides along the walls and in between buildings. Not wanting to be seen. As she observes the people of the small town, she takes note of all the vibrant colors around her.

She was also quick to notice how she doesn't fit in. A-Lora had blue hair and wore all blue clothes with silver accents. The people in this town had, hair that was shades of brown, shades of blond, and shades of black. And they certainly did not wear all blue.

"Oh no" She whispered to herself, "I'm going to have to change my appearance. I really like my hair color." A-Lora frowns to herself as she begins grab at her hair. After looking around for a few more minutes, she begins to make her way back into the forest.

Now back at her shuttle, A-Lora makes it visible as she climbs in. "Let's see. I have to change my hair color I should have a- Ah Ha!" A-Lora then finds the appearance modifier on her shuttle. "I'm so glad the Alien tech team was able to upgrade our technology."

A-Lora let's out a sigh as she presses the small button. In an instant, a blue light shines scanning over her. She goes through the controls changing her hair color to a light shade of brown. "I think this color will go well with my tan skin. I'm really gonna miss my natural blue."

Letting out one last sigh, A-Lora confirms the change. In a matter of seconds, A-Lora now finds herself with brown hair. She smiles to herself, satisfied with the results.

The young girls stomach begins to grumble as she goes to have a seat. "Oh I forgot to eat, let's see." A-Lora looks into the small compartment the help her food. Only to find it empty. She slouches back in her chair disappointed.

"Oh," A-Lora pops up quickly coming up with an idea. "I can go back to the town and get food. My clothes are still a bit strange but I should be okay."

Now back in the small town, A-Lora still finds herself sneaking around. That is until she spots a cart with what she could only assume to be fro-yo.

"Ooh I haven't had ice cream in a while." The girl creeps closer to the cart, "I wonder if humans have a financial system?" A-Lora continues to ramble as she sneaks to the cart to find no one behind it. She goes to the cart and begins to scoop herself some vanilla ice cream.

Just as she began to add toppings, the door to the building beside her opens. "Hey! Why are you stealing from my cart?" A tall older man with little hair on top of his head. Upon seeing him in his angry state, A-Lora quickly grabs a tiny spoon and runs off not wanting to get caught. "You don't come back here!" The man shouts after A-Lora.

Now away from the man, A-Lora stops running leaning over to catch her breath. "Aww my ice cream is melting." The girl looks down to see her ice cream now soft.

A-Lora then looks around to find that she's not sure where she came from. "And now I'm lost," A-Lora let's out a sigh, "Could the situation get worse?" Just then, A-Lora is pulled out of her thoughts by a light tap on her shoulder. Terrified that the man found her, she jumps back.

Once she turns around, she finds an older woman with short, curly white hair and arms full of groceries. "Hi there sweetie, could you help me carry these home."

A-Lora takes a step closer to the woman confused. "Miss, you want my help?" The woman smiles at A-Lora. "Yes hunny. I'm too old to carry all these myself."

A-Lora nods giving the woman a small smile. She sets her ice cream down on the ground and grabs the bags from the woman. "Thank you so much sweetie. This means so much to me."

The woman begins to walk away, A-Lora hot on her heels. "Miss, do you live nearby?" The woman nods as she continues walking. "Yes, my house it's only a few streets down from here."

A comfortable silence falls over the two. A-Lora feeling a sense of familiarity from the older woman.
